The rooms are top notch - very palatial. The pool is nice but it's only open til 6pm. It certainly should stay open later. I had a great massage at the spa for a very reasonable price. The gift shop is really good with unique quality gifts. The bar and restaurant have great selection. The breads at breakfast were stale and I did not like the breakfast selection.

Some staff are not very friendly to Kenyan guests but foreigners, apart from housekeeping who are so polite. I love the standards of the hotel has remained good in terms of maintainance

When checking in, staff was limited in number and skill. Had a block of rooms reserved for our party with first night paid, yet still we had grp members in the basement rooms which were very dark and dank, away from everyone (not safe)) as doors & windows would not lock. Was told they could move to other rooms, but another group was checked in and given all rooms not on basement floor, though we were returnees from previous year. When ordering from the menu, it took 3-4 hours to get a sandwich/pizza, but buffet offered at a very high price. Lost power while on elevator. Rooms are very hot, the AC is almost non-existent (bring a fan if you dare to try this place). The Boma a little further down is nicer and less expensive.

A little oasis
Good location for access to the expressway, convenient for airport. Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Well equipped rooms and the hotel itself is set into tranquil gardens.

My stay was wonderful however the concierge broke the wheel of my luggage without telling me. He kept trying to jam my luggage into the trunk of the car and then put it in the front seat after I asked him. I didn’t realize the damage to my luggage until I arrived to the security checkpoint. I have to purchase a new piece of luggage when I arrive in Kisumu.

Great location pre/post safari - near the airport and quick access to the highway which takes you towards the Masai Mara. Rooms spacious and clean Good facilities with pool/gym, and several options for food/drink within the hotel. Also less than 5 minutes walk away to a local mall, for pharmacies, a supermarket, few restaurants etc. Would stay again

Nicer newer property. Good service and comfort for the price except for the unusual heat in the lobby and restaurant area. I think they were having a problem with the power because not even the elevators were always operational. Still, they carried our bags up stairs and did everything they could to help with these conditions

My nightmare at this hotel
I booked this room for one of my clients for 6 nights on a refundable rate thru Hotels.com and because of some unavoidable circumstances the guest stayed just 1 night then checked out and went back to stay another 3 nights so he asked the hotel if they could refund back the money by prorating the rate but the hotel manager Eunice just refused and said no which i do not think was right I deal with this company world relief and they travel to Nairobi all the time and i promise i will never ever book a room at this hotel.

I booked to stay at Eka after i missed my connecting flight. From the time i arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. they assisted me with the bags to the hotel and to my room. I later went out to eat and at the most delicious roasted meat, ugali and spinach (Kenyan cuisine or something form the menu). The rooms are spacious and quite, for a good night/day rest! Check-out was fast, efficient and drive to the airport also same professionalism and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a property near the airport!
