Friendly hotel with good facilitiesPosted Apr 24, 2015
Good hotel. Not too large. Everything works well. Very friendly staff. Nice central courtyard is a bit of a haven in a busy city.

A great hotel in central Nairobi.Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Rooms, staff, food, ambiance
Location: right across the street from the University of Nairobi and in a good location downtown.
Love this hotel. Other hotels in central Nairobi have started to look shabby, but this is a notable exception. It has old-world charm with great facilities. Food was excellent, too!

Fairmont the NorfolkPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The courtyard is very attractive, like a small park.
Cons: Need to expand tour options. Only thing available was a $500 day trip.
Location: Location is very secure. Ten minute walk to the National Museum, but a little bit away from downtown.
Nice hotel in an historic property. Good security and lots of friendly staff. Restaurants on site are okay but pricey. Overall, a good choice but not worth the money.

Pleasant stayPosted Feb 22, 2015 on Hotels.com
Hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The room was also pleasant with all the amenities you would expect. A bit disappointed in the food, which was pricey and outside of breakfast, quite ordinary.

Beautiful stay with a few bumps along the wayPosted Feb 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
There were a number of problems during my stay, but to the hotel's credit, they did try to rectify as many as they could.

OverpricedPosted Jan 31, 2015
Pros: Endless hot water Comfortable bed Quiet Tv good Good location
Cons: Waste bin. More colour in the rooms and hotel.
Location: Near city centre.
1. No waste bin in the room despite me asking housekeeping. 2. Who puts a bottle opener on the bathroom wall? 3. Minibar list had items listed they don't stock. 4. Pool cleaning in middle of the day? 5. No socket for kettle near tea making area. 6. No price indication of cakes and juices and hot drinks in lounge area. 7. Wi-fi $5 an hour!! 8. Room looked tired.

A nice hotelPosted Jan 4, 2015
The Northfolf Hotel is very nice. The security is appears to be tight. There is nothing special about the hotel, but it was perfect for our three day stay in the city. The food is slightly over priced, with that the service is wonderful.

Naiorbi's Grand DamePosted Jan 2, 2015 on Hotels.com
The Norfolk is Kenya's oldest hotel and it is world class in every way. The staff is particularly memorable. There are many different promotions that take place, but people should be careful if their rate does not include breakfast, as it costs over $30 if you must pay.
