Family weekendPosted Mar 4, 2014
Cons: Bathrooms updated.
Location: Rough part of town. Don't go out at night. Typical of Nairobi.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean but on the small side. Nice hotel pool. I stayed there for a weekend with my three young children. They loved the pool and the breakfast buffet.

Where are the brand standards???Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The location is good and staff were pleasant.
Cons: The physical hotel in its entirety!!!
The small room smelled musty. The fixtures and furnishings are ancient and require repair and touchups. The common areas are in need of repair as well. Only one of three elevators worked. The property still charges for internet which should now be a staple service of any hotel. I know, the "premium" brands like to charge for wifi, but this hotel was so substandard, charging for internet added insult to injury! This hotel is the worst Hilton product that we have ever staying in

Well located in the CBD.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Proximity to the business district and well trained staff in hospitality industry
Cons: Renovation and a new coat of paint as the hotel looks as it has seen the better days.
Location: Proximity to the CBD and the city attractions such as the Kenyatta statue and Kimathi etc.
I enjoyed my stay, I took some time to look at the nearby attractions as well as the Nairobi national archive.

Enjoyable & good servicePosted Jan 25, 2014
Pros: Staff & swimming pool/health club
Cons: Pizzas and reduce the price of the food
Location: Very handy for central Nairobi but is possibley not the safest area although hotel has taxis and a good security system.
Pool sauna and steam room available for free to residents and were well maintained. Very friendly helpful staff throughout the hotel. Food & drink very expensive and pizzas of v poor quality, but pasta dishes soup and other dishes were excellent.

Right at the centerPosted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: Aesthetics, awesome customer service, fairness
Cons: Maybe more information on all the things one can do at the hotel (lounge, gym etc.). I asked to buy a phone and was taken to an expensive guy :(
Location: shopping, movies, phone services, hair salon.
As a woman traveling by myself from the US I felt very safe staying at the Hilton. The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. The Hilton is now definitely my go-to hotel when I have no where to stay in Nairobi :) Coming from New York City, it was a very fair deal.

Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
Cons: Physical improvements were underway as i was there.
Location: Unfortunately I was transiting so I didn't get out from the hotel
I was only here for an overnight stay, however the hotel was pleasing enough.

Poor value for money!Posted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hilton Nairobi is the worlds worse Hilton! I have stayed in many Hilton hotels as I am a silver honors member and this is by far the worst! It is antiquated and has never been refurbished despite the fact that it is 45years old. Only 1 lift out of 3 was fully operational. The furniture was out of date and the lobby very tired and dull. The receptionists were rather unhelpful and Wi FI and breakfast was extra.I would NOT recommend this hotel..it's very overpriced and is only a 3.5 star hotel now ..not even a 4 star hotel! I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of going there is go to the Stanley hotel 100m away which is a true 5 star hotel and e price includes breakfast and With Fi and is cheaper too! Everything works there and the receptionists r helpful and courteous
