Super Hotel for the Family
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: The friendiness of the staff.
Cons: Going through security at the front door, I guess it’s necessarily
Location: In the day the location of the hotel is great. However, at night some caution is required once you leave the hotel, due to the street traders etc.
We stayed at the Hilton for two nights and really enjoyed the help, support and friendliness of the staff; they just couldn’t do enough for us, brilliant. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Nairobi, however, leaving the hotel at night to go for a meal, for example, needs a bit more thought and perhaps getting a taxi is the best way, there are alot of street traders etc across the street from the hotel.

/we stated in a room that was next to the pool. It was lovely with a patio and greenery. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great!

Very friendly staff in all areas but this is an old tired hotel. Ridiculous circular design means wedge shaped and tiny rooms. Sure it was cheap, but I find it hard to believe its a Hilton.

Excellent service, great location

My wife and I stayed two separate nights at the Hilton, book-ending our safari outside of Nairobi. The staff at the Hilton were very nice and the service was excellent. Examples: they upgraded us to a king room for free (both nights); they let us check in several hours early when we arrived in the early morning after a red-eye flight and did not charge us extra. They also have a private taxi service that we used twice (twice dropping us off and picking us up after dinner). The room was very nice as well.

A disgrace
Posted Jan 2, 2012
This hotel should not carry the Hilton name. It's a disgrace to the brand. It should uphold the same standard as any Hilton in the developed world. That it fails to do so makes it no better than a Motel 6. I can only assume that when President Clinton stayed here, he was ensconced to a luxurious executive suite that may have been, as an exception to the rest of the hotel, a truly great part of the hotel. I did not witness anything here that remotely reminded me of a Hilton.

Central location
Posted Jan 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Nairobi. The location of the hotel is very central for the city center sights. The accommodation was good and the service was excellent. The hotel provides excellent amenities. We would stay at this hotel again if we return to Nairobi.
