lack of roadsPosted Apr 2, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff
Location: You have to see it yourself, quiet educational. Preferably not alone
If you ok with a lack of roads and surrounding powerty, its a good place to stay. You will need the taxi to commute.

Basic but cleanPosted Mar 6, 2013
Pros: Rooms well apointed
Location: Will be better once road resurfaced, be careful in back streets as near slum area.
When I went road in front was being relaid which meant you had to drive through slum areas to get to hotel. Rooms were good and clean, no bath just shower. Muslim area so hotel catered to area needs, eg no alcohol
Not really 4 kilometers from the airportPosted Jan 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is 4 kilometers from a military airport, hence the deceptive details on hotels.com. The neighborhood is something like little Somalia. If you like covering up your women (no joke - we were asked to cover shoulders) and being crowded in the hallway by guys taking their shoes off and piling into a prayer room, then this is the place for you. We wanted something near the international airport, and we did not get it. The hotel was fine, but, disappointing due to location. Restaurant was not bad. Room clean but sparse.

Good location, nice but needs improvementPosted Nov 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
I had a reasonable stay at the Nomad. The hotel rooms were reasonable but could do with some aesthetic renovation as bathrooms looked abit worn. Close to town centre which was great once you knew where to go and what to see.

****NO GO AREA FOR UK TOURIST****Posted Jul 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
from the airport Niarobi 3 taxis refused to take us there! finally found a taxi that would. arrived at hotel - hotel is heavaily guarded - with gates - called my cusin who lives in Westlands - gave him the address to where i checked in and he was affraid - the area this hotel is in - Eastligh is very bad for tourist - he came to pick us up as he would not let us stay in the hotel - when he arrived and we were leaving police came and asked us what we were doing in the area - they then had to escort us out of the area!!!!The hotel it self looked nice and modern. This hotel should be removed from this web site.

Bad LocationPosted Mar 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
I want to say that all the staff were very professional especially the restaurant staff and cleaning staff. wonderful staff. In relation to the location, "It a terrible location" very far from airport and the city.Center the traffic jams will make you crazy. The surrounding area is dirty and dilapidated and the roads are a disgrace. Finally I felt very safe inside Hotel but outside I felt unsafe especially in that area . And also when booking don't let the photos of hotel fool you.

badly locatedPosted Mar 27, 2012
hotel is fine but in a very bad location, ok for one night, but not really worth the money (even if it is cheaper than most others)

Very Far awayPosted Feb 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is far away from the central business district and thus offers no respite in the commute. Also the surroundings do not even allow for an evening walk. Compared to down town Nairobi the location is very bad. It does not have an AC. As it is on main road for the heavy vehicles to pass, you cannot open the windows either to avoid noise and dirt, thus it becomes suffocating.
