Location: It is in a good neighborhood, walking distance to a very nice mall with super market. Very secure. The rest has to be by taxi. Highly recommended

It was a great experience. Will return again or hope to see this hotel turn into a chain that doesn't lose sight of the original beginning.

Let perfect experience downPosted Aug 3, 2013
Cons: obnoxious name & attitudes flowing from it. Caused shame and distress. Intended effect "too" avant-garde. tread carefully & accommodate history
Location: Perfect for my needs
The fridge was only restocked for what was a "complimentary" service on the last day of an eight day visit. I was embarrassed by this cutting of corners given the cost of the hotel and its otherwise high standards. Meaness does not go with the proclaimed and target prospect and standard and somewhat undermines a near perfect experience. The name is also off-putting and insensitive to the Kenyan context and endorses a negative and colonial view however well-meaning... based on "post" explanations. Perceptions are important and for what it is, this blase attitude to such a significant matter cannot be overlooked... Shame the international community served is not perturbed by the negative vibe of the name...

Functional meeting place for busines/relaxationPosted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Lobby Ambiance
Cons: View from the room window into the utility area that should be kept clean
Location: Convenient if your business is in that area but not in downtown.
the room is very small relative to the cost and comparable five star digs. the work desk is very ergonomic and conducive to business travelers who wish to work in their room. the lighting is excellent. the closet space is very limited and the area allocated to the wash hand basin and toiletries is very compact and not as convenient as you would expect in an establishment of this sort and the price range. the hotel lobby and overall living space outside the guest room are excellent. outstanding usage of internal space. this hotel's strongest comparative advantage is the meeting space provided through the ingenious use of lobby space; simply pleasant.

Not cheap but it deserves the moneyPosted Dec 15, 2010
The hotrel is situated in a quite and secured area nearby the Village Market that is beautiful. The area is very green and quite. The distance to the town center is maybe not very big but the traffic is awfull. Good for tourism but not very good for business since the industrial area is in a oposite direction from the town but I will go again here even if I am normally going for buiness.

Decent but not stellarPosted Sep 1, 2010
The Tribe benefits from an attractive design, but could pay more attention to the quality of its service and food & beverage offering. The repeated lack of laundry bags and lists make the exercise of getting clothes cleaned unnecesarily complicated. The lack of an in-house gym and the fact that the use of related off-site facilities was later charged for on my bill were another negative. Finally, the hotel is near the Embassy and UNDP sites but far from the actual business center, which makes commuting a hassle, and restricts access to further sites or restaurants. The single hotel restaurant is not great and offers limited choice.
