Clean, basic hotel in centre of NajeraPosted Oct 31, 2011 on Hotels.com
Reasonable hotel in centre of najera. Good service on reception; the hotel is a bit dated though although is kept very clean and tidy. It is a very convenient locaton, and if you were taking a car is right next to a good parking area. Overlooking the river. Take a pair of earphones though if you're there on a thursday morning as there is a market nearby which gets noisy. It is a better location though for families than the other hotel in najera which is very close to a road. Beds were okay - not the comfiest, not the worst, about average for a 2**/3*** hotel.

Lovely hotel in a lovely locationPosted Sep 13, 2011 on Hotels.com
Stayed in a single room which was very basic, small bedroom and shower room containing a small old television. The room was very clean and serviced daily to high standards. The hotel is in ideal location within the Rioja region famous for the wine and vineyards. There is a good winery about 15minutes drive away which we visited. Najera is a lovely small village containing serveral bars and resteraunts and the hotel is sited right beside the river overlooking cliffs and cave houses. There are several walks which can be made that go through the village and up onto the hills overlooking the old monastry and the older parts of the village which is definately recommended. All the staff and locals are very friendly and many speak fairly good english.
