“great location”
Very clean good size room w/ tiny kitchenette and huge balcony. Next to the sea walk and beach. Good place to stay if you get a special deal.
“Mixed Feelings -- Nice view, but many problems.”
This hotel has a great waterfront location. Our room had a wonderful view, and was very tastefully decorated. The beds were quite comfortable, and the soaking tub was great. We appreciated the electric tea kettle provided. Everything is quite new and seemed to be in good repair. The room, although elegant, was rather small. The heater was unbelievably noisy, making a loud whump when it started, and sounding like a diesel truck idling when it ran. It woke me up frequently during the night. The wireless internet access was quite weak in our room. I had to stand near the door with my laptop in order to get a strong enough signal to download email. No signal at all when sitting at the desk. It was too cold to use the small patio, but it seemed unwise to do so, since the gas fireplace from the unit next door vented directly on to our patio. The on-site restaurant was not open for lunch during advertised hours. Dinner was unimpressive, our server knew very little about the wine list, and the service was terribly slow in spite of there being only 4 occupied tables attended by two servers and a house manager. Breakfast, in contrast, was very good. Sharon provided excellent table service, our food was ready promptly, and the eggs Benedict were excellent. What a difference staffing makes! It seemed like a completely different restaurant in the morning. A wonderful view, attractive accommodations, but lackluster service and too many facilities problems.
“Would definitely go back”
This was the best hotel that we stayed in on a recent vacation to Vancouver Island. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well laid out, and the beds were heavenly. As photographers, we appreciated having a luggage cart near the elevator in the parking garage to haul gear to our room. Parksville was a great central location for many activities and day trips.

The room and hotel were very nice. However, they were having some computer glitches when we checked in, so we could not go immediately to our room. They gave us a free drink coupon for the bar to compensate, but the service in the bar was terrible.
“Great Hotel!”
It was a great site. Centrally located close to everything: Sites, resaataurants supermarkets. The room was awesome, spacious, spotless with all the amenities. and a great view.
“Very Nice, would use again”
Very clean, up scale. Prices reasonable also. Great Ocean views. Great food too.
“Not impressed”
Large building site adjacent to hotel - building Beach Resort Condos - started work at 7am. Hotel restaurant service appallingly slow - 1.5 hours to get some food after ordering - and we had to complain to get food then.
