Satisfactory hotel in a very seedy area

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: The kitchenette is a very welcome addition
Cons: The room required air-conditioning for the reason stated above.
Location: Very central and convenient for public transport. But some very unpleasant behaviour in the streets later in the evening. You go out at your peril.
Very noisy and stuffy- unable to open the windows because of noise until the small hours of the morning. Bed very hard and uncomfortable making sleep difficult.

nice hotel close to the congress center

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Kitchen goods (kettle, refrigerator, dish, etc.) were useful.
Cons: Stained towels should not be used. There was not a hair dryer. It is the most important equipment of the hotels. It should be presented there.
Location: Train station is very close to the hotel. Also shops and restaurants are very close to the hotel.
Except from stained towels, the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

One night stay

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Clean, location, price.
Cons: Better directions on website.
Location: Great location. Old town. Near castle and cathedral . And train station.
Didn't know it was in the heart of old town. Great view from window. Every ethnic food possible within skipping distance. Stayed in a little studio. Everything new, clean, works. Quiet.

Pros: the staff were very friendly and go out of their way to help when asking for directions/help with language etc
Cons: noise reduction - secondary glazing/heavy curtains perhaps? Maybe an option to choose a hotel room not on the front face of the building
Location: lots of pubs and exceptional restaurants. very near to the cathedral and in easy reach of muse des machines
very noisy and difficult to sleep at night - there are a lot of loud night spots next door to the hotel which play music and patrons spill out onto the street until 5 or 6 am.

Ideal, but for the disco....

Posted Dec 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was a good size and the furniture and fittings in decent condition. Could have done with a chair, rather than a pouffe. The staff were firendly and helpful and the location was ideal in being close to transport, sights, restaurants and bars. The only downside was the lack of double glazing on our window which was over the main entrance and faced a local disco, which started very late and went on until very early. This did not detract too much from an excellent trip.

Central but a bit noisy

Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very central. A little noisy at night, and in the morning as the area is under heavy reconstruction. I'd recommend though.
