Simple room.Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was actually pretty good. Lots to choose from and the little patio breakfast area was really nice. The staff friendly and location great.
Cons: Carpet in the halls and rooms. Maybe a little more attention to details about cleanliness. The main sheets/pillows and bathroom were clean though.
Location: Things to do are wine tasting, restaurants... check out SolBar. Running, biking in the area and spa stuff.
The place seemed quite charming from the outside. The hotel staff were great and friendly even letting us know they would be brewing a new fresh pot of coffee if we wanted to wait. The room itself was small but that was okay since we weren't thinking to spend much time inside. The decor was dated and reviews which mentioned the carpet were unfortunately correct. It was dingy and looked dirty even if it wasn't due to all the spots and stains. I think just laying down some pergo or tile or even new high traffic carpet would help tremendously. The bathroom area was clean but there was a spot of the sham/pillow and the folded sign that they have on the sheets to conserve water. Not sure what it was but made me suspect to use the parts of the bedding they do not wash. The bed and pillows were a little soft but we prefer more firm mattresses. The breakfast was actually pretty substantial and they have a cute patio area and you can eat outside or inside. Over all It might have been not enough for the cost of the room. The only other place I have stayed in the area was Solage and that is in a different spectrum. I just needed a room for the evening but it seems that everything there is priced really high. I think with a little sprucing up this place would be great.

This hotel is a great pleasant surprise!Posted Aug 30, 2013
Pros: Staff, location, cleanliness, breakfast, wifi access, price want more?
Location: It is at the quiet end of the central town so rooms are quiet but the access in a few minutes to the center on foot!
Having stayed at Meadowood, Solage, Auberge, etc, etc over the past 20 years, I settled for this inn (so I thought) as it was so much inexpensive! Well, price is deceiving as I got all the comfort and hospitality from this place! Highly recommended for couples and singles looking for clean, elegant and friendly place for money value!

Okay, but too noisy for usPosted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very convenient and the price is right, plus the breakfast buffet is pretty nice but it's right on the highway so the traffic noise beginning in the early morning is intense. It's in need of a facelift (which we understand is about to happen) but the service needs a director (someone really in charge). They didn't even make up the room of the friends who were with us. Would I go there again? Yes, maybe, because the price is so competitive, if we could have a quieter room.
