Great location and just what we neededPosted Oct 6, 2013
We stayed at fannys for one night on our visit to the Napa area. Great location and a quick walk to the main street in Calistoga. Room was cozy but had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious!!!!! And the owner had some great recommendations for dinner and wineries! Try the Calistoga kitchen for dinner and lava vines for wine!

Staying at your eccentric Auntie's?Posted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was excellent but no options. Very close to main street in Calistoga. Garden was nice.
Cons: More presence by innkeeper. Rooms should have locks. Re-plumbing the house so that guests aren't worried about being scalded or chilled by showers.
Location: Calistoga is spa central (mud baths) and wine tasting. Don't forget the cheese, olive oil and lots of restaurants / galleries
Older Craftsman style house on corner lot with plenty of character. Arrived 20 minutes after check-in time (3PM) to find note on door directing guests to choose their room upstairs, "any open door". Stairs are narrow(!) & creaky going up. One door open so got that room. No locks on doors outside of security latch on inside. Bathroom tiny, shower barely big enough to turn around in and water temp extremely variable depending on your neighbor's use. Walls are wooden with no insulation as is ceiling. Sound travels very well room to room. Had A/C in room but no controls visible. Due to sloping ceiling, part of room not suited for people over 6 feet tall. "Closet" was hatch in wall about four feet high. Putting clothes or bag in there meant most would have to stoop unless under 5 foot tall. High bed (36"?) very tight to one wall making difficult entry/exit. Met innkeeper later in the later afternoon; she offered welcome and was available to recommend eateries. Was informed that breakfast / coffee was not available until 8:30ish until 10. If you are early riser, you will have to head downtown to find your caffeine fix. Oh yes, since there seems to be little security, would not recommend leaving any valuables in room when out and about.

Perfect honeymoon destination!Posted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Fanny's was the perfect getaway for our honeymoon! The location was a lovely stroll from anything you would want in town, the accommodations were cozy and well maintained, and Deanna was incredibly helpful (not to mention her dynamite breakfast!). Would highly recommend this spot for any type of trip to Calistoga.

Good and peaceful"Posted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a nice stay at Fanny's and found the owner to be helpful and yet a person of few words. The outside was really pretty and the room was clean and neat. Our room was small but had no other complaints.

Beautiful HotelPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: It was super clean and cozy.
Location: It is very near Calistoga's main street where you can walk and shop. There are some hiking trails near as well.
Since the minute we walked to the front porch we knew we had made a great decision. Everything is just beautiful and divinely decorated. Breakfast is to die for! Our room was fantastic, bed super cosy, Deanna (owner) super nice and glad to have us. What else can I say...It was the perfect place to stay in Calistoga.

Very Quaint and within walking distance to Main stPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We only stayed one night but could have spent more time there. Calistoga is a very cute little town as well as the surrounding winery area. Our room, which we chose when we arrived at Fanny's was very comfortable. It was a warm, humid day and we were very thankful for the air conditioning and ceiling fan in our room. Deanne, owner and hostess, was spot on with her recommendations and her service was wonderful.

Great spot for a quick getaway, with a few quirksPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place was great for an overnight getaway. It's a nice place with a great yard (hammock) and porch. Breakfast was great. Renters should be aware of a few things that depending on your needs, may be a factor. Check-in is a little weird, as you just walk in take an empty room (don't expect to get the room you reserved), but that makes it very easy. There is no checkout procedure, which is also very easy. What was a little odd was that you don't get a key to your room. If you are traveling light, as we were, that was no problem, but if you need somewhere to leave valuables, this isn't it. Also, the walls were a little thin, but not bad. The only real hangup we had was that you cannot turn off or change the settings for the in-room air conditioner -- ours was too cold and dripped a little.

Falls short of "charming"Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is by all means a quaint old house, however the rooms are essentially all part of an attic space.....complete with extremely creaky floors, teeny tiny bathrooms and odd ceiling angles (I could barely get out of my side of the bed). To be fair, the owner was kind and helpful and the breakfast was very nice (including extremely yummy berry muffins!).......however, from the standpoint of guest experience, the shower alternated between hot and cold, the bathroom light didn't stay on, and the fan made a horrible ticking sound throughout the night -- not our idea of charming.

Quaint homePosted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: The owner is a great cook, and made frittatas for breakfast. The ingredients tasted fresh and were high quality.
Cons: Shower fawcet has a slow leak in the bathroom.
Location: Walking distance to all of the popular areas in town (Restaurants, shops, and hot springs)
Great location that is in walking distance to restaurants, a park, shopping and even a hot springs pool. The home is situated on a large lot that has a picnic table and hammock. Essentially guests feel as if they are staying at someone's house. There is a nice collection of books and magazines to read as well.

Nice Bed&breakfastPosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: The breakfast. Very quiet and peaceful at night.
Cons: The shower. We had to keep adjusting hot water level during our shower. The water temperature seems to adjust itself up and down.
Location: We walked to the farmers market and museum near by.
We stayed there for 3 nights. Room is very clean and with comfortable bed. Space is a little small but not uncomfortable. Breakfast in the morning is really really good. Very close to downtown Callistoga. We walked to a restaurant in town for dinner one evening. Great and relaxing atmosphere place to stay.
