“Never tried a B&B before but we loved it!”

We stayed in the Carducci suite. Very comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch after a day of tasting. A free tasting and bottle of wine from Uncorked comes with the reservation. Very cute place. Location was great. We could walk to restaurants and tasting rooms downtown. If you are also looking for a driver, One Size Ride was great. Chad was our driver. Very knowledgeable and took us to places we never thought of visiting. Had a great time!

“A perfect weekend get-away”

From the moment we arrived, we were treated, not as guests, but as family. A packet of info awaited us with narrowed down recommendations for where to visit, dine and shop. With it's Victorian charm, the McClelland-Priest B & B was homey and friendly. Within walking distance to downtown Napa, we were able to enjoy all of the luxuries of downtown restaraunts and wineries and yet be able to walk back home to our quiet residential B & B. The breakfasts were sinfully delicious and a great way to begin our day. Our guest room with a seperate entrance accessed by the quaint white picket fence was adjacent to the main house and gave us both the feeling of privacy and security that we desired. Our room was clean and fully stocked with all amenities of home and hotel combined. A weekend was all we needed, but a week at the McClelland-Prieset B & B would have been heavenly.

Getting around
With the many wineries we planned on visiting, we contemplated the "fun" experience of renting a bicycle to get from place to place. We were glad we had rented the car as the vineyards are located on large and often hilly terrain (duh) that would have required more than our legs could have carried us.
Must see
Charbay Winery- located atop Spring Mountain Road. The drive up the beautiful, winding road was simply breath-taking. Once we arrived at the winery, we were greeted by the family owned locals who shared their wine making experience with such passion and with exquisite wines to sip and cherish. Charter Oak Winery. It doesn't get any more grass roots than this. Home is where the heart is and this couple has turned thier home into their treasures. Combining both generations of wine making (made in the owners back yard and basement) and a new-found love of art, this couple has converted the inside of their house to an art studio with fantastic and freshly painted pieces hanging in the living room to dry. It's hard to enjoy wine country without induldging in a wine tasting. So onto the kitchen we moved to taste these extraordinary wines around the kitchen table. Of course no wine tasting is ever compleet without a picture of the artist and the wine maker and their unexpected guests- those of us popping in off the street just looking to see if the artist and the wine maker were in.

“We loved this B+B!”

My husband and I stayed here during our summer vacation. What an amazing place, with a fantastic location. Most importantly, it is owned by lovely and extremely welcoming people. We were even invited to be part of a family get-together, we were really touched by this. And p.s. - their wines are wonderful!

“Great place within walking distance of restaurants and wine tastings and very quaint”

Great place to stay. Really enjoyed meeting the two other couples with whom we had breakfast: Nick and Emily and Rob and Betty. Celeste was the perfect cook and hostess. She circled all the wineries that waived the cost for tastings when her card was shown. We tasted wine for free in quite a few wineries. It was wonderful saving money as the tastings could run as much as $25 per person. Celeste also provided good information about the places to eat and things to do. She was an interesting person with whom to converse.

“Very Enjoyable Stay”

This was the first B & B we had ever gone to. It was lovely, very private, and a great location. The owner was very sweet, and a good cook. We would definately go back. If I had to pick one negative thing it would be that the heater in the house (don't know where the control was located) cooked us out of bed in the morning. I would recommend this place

“Fantastic stay!”

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the McClelland-Priest B&B Inn. The owner is great and extremely helpful. She provided a packet with maps, tasting cards for free wine tastings, 2 for 1 tastings, magazines, brochures, etc. The daily breakfast was fantastic! Our overall stay in Napa was great due to the great recommendations that we received from owner. We loved the fireplace in our room as well and we would definitely go back and stay here again!
