The temperature for our Napa weekend was HOT---105 degrees! It took a while to finally cool the room down, and then we were comfortable the next 2 days. Our Hostess was very interesting and accommodating. We hope to be back someday.

Decent place on napa but some issues

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Walking distance to Napa attractions. Breakfast was delicious when we got it, was served later than I would like (9:00 to 9:30) and the breakfast offered to early risers was promised but not delivered (fridge was empty except for a bud light). Room was hot and hard to regulate the temp with the noisy window AC unit. Finally, luggage was stolen from the car when we were loading up be careful!

Lovely Victorian close to the downtown restaurants

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Lovely, clean rooms offer a true Victorian experience...and remind you why you don’t actually live in one of these beautiful old houses. While the food was delicious and the staff very welcoming, breakfast is only offered in one serving at 9:00 a.m. (which was late for us, but may suit others), there’s no TV, and the climate control is inadequate. No front desk, so very often there is no staff in the hotel, although the owner’s make every effort to foresee their guests needs and questions. The walks through the old neighborhoods are lovely and quaint and the hotel is located within walking distance of the riverfront shops and restaurants and the oxbow area.

Great place to stay in Napa

Posted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at McClelland-Priest B&B. It is a very convenient base for a visit to Napa Valley wineries, walking distance to downtown Napa restaurants. The innkeeper, Celeste, is very health-conscious and great to talk with about the history of the house, the wineries and places to run or ride. The breakfasts were fantastic. My Sweetie and I brought our bikes and rode the Mt. Veeder - Dry Creek route. The inn has a place to lock up your bikes, so if you ride, I recommend bringing them. It was a beautiful place, and Celeste made us feel at home.

Beautiful Victorian

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The beds are very comfortable.
Location: It is walking distance to many restaurants in town. The Oxbow is a fun place to go with lots of food choices.
The McClelland Priest B & B is a wonderful place to stay. Upon walking into the house you are transported in time. It is decorated with beautiful period pieces and furniture and the rooms have been beautifully restored. Celeste is a great innkeeper. She prepares her guests a delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room. She is very helpful with suggestions on wineries and restaurants to visit and very knowledgable on wine.

Great hotel next to downtown!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Cons: bigger tv
We had a beautiful room downstairs and never heard anyone upstairs even though the place was completely rented out. It was very comfortable, food was fantastic, and the location was great. After each breakfast, the owners would ask what we were interested in doing that day and offer suggestions that were greatly appreciated. Also, the owner gave us her card which we showed to some of the wineries and they gave us discounts or waived the tasting fees. I would definitely stay here again!

Charming and great location in quiet neighborhood

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The fellow guests, free parking and nice room
Cons: Earlier breakfast time or at least earlier coffee.
Location: Great restaurants within walking distance. Nice neighborhood for walking
We enjoyed this lovely B&B as a base for touring Napa. Our room was large and it was so great to have the free tasting at the owners tasting room. She also had some spin bikes which she let us use. Nice for working off the delicious breakfast.

Absolutely fabulous bed and breakfast

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and the room!
Cons: Nothing, completely amazing.
Location: Two or three blocks from downtown- walking distance! Go to: Oxbow Public Market, Napkins, Robert Mondavi Vinyard, Tarla Mediterranean, Carpe Diem
Completely wonderful. The room was divine, the four poster bed was lovely and the sheets were so soft. The jacuzzi was so relaxing. Breakfast was a 3 course meal! Absolutely delicious. My friend is vegetarian and was worried she would just get toast instead of the lovely cooked breakfast everyone else got, but no: She got a baked french toast with cinnamon and real maple syrup! Every day we had amazing food. They couple that own the bed and breakfast own Oxbow Uncorked with is in the downtown and you get a free wine tasting and bottle of wine which was so great. They gave us some wonderful recommendations for wineries in the area and restaurants to try. Couldn't have asked for more!
