Breakfast by the Pool!Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: It is an old Hotel that has been updated but it has retained it's elegant old world charm. It is small and intimate and very comfortable.
Location: The location is fantastic. Located in the heart of wine country you have easy access to hundreds of Vineyards and great restaurants.
Love it, Love it, Love it! Great location and service.

Not worth the pricePosted Jun 16, 2015
Small dark room on the first floor, overlooking parking lot. Cold breakfast ( boiled eggs, crackers and banana) delivered to your room. And no place to put the trays with breakfast... Nothing romantic or chic, as advertised. Good part we stayed only one night. Definitely overpriced.

Great choice in Calistoga!Posted Apr 25, 2015
Loved this cute boutique hotel right in the heart of Calistoga. It's close to shopping, food, and has all the amenities you want plus a super nice spa. In comparison to other hotels in this area this was by far the most nicest and reasonably priced for the value and services offered. Recommended!

Hotel was quite nice and although it was old, it was modern in nature.

First time to Callistoga, hot springs a bonusPosted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Location, staff, HOT coffee delivered to room versus that from small in room coffee maker, pool.
Cons: Add elevator. TV moved to wall opposite bed versus side wall next to one side of bed.
Location: Good restaurant options. Hot Springs. Antique stores. All this in addition to the main event - wine!
Quaint old hotel updated somewhat. Only one outlet available/accessible for hair dryer and such not already used for TV, lamps, coffee pot etc. Very dated decor (4th green and black bathroom tiles, some cracked, made a feature with black curtains. Black carpet, black and white upholstery throughout bedroom). Good water pressure from shower, clean room and comfortable bed. Need to crane neck to watch TV mounted on side wall. No elevator. On site spa, nice swimming pool and jacuzi. Nice staff. Unexpected luxury was a delivered in room continental breakfast inclusive.

Quaint downtown hotel.Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Location, parking, staff, Restauraunts
Cons: Some things are looking a little worn out. Towels, slippers etc in the spa are very well "loved". Maybe some replacements of linens here and there?
Location: It is downtown Calistoga. Art, food, wine. Also biking, ballooning, exploring, so many things
We had a very nice stay at Mount View. It is a very old building with lots of charm. It is somewhat noisy as windows all face streets or alleyways. There are in window air conditioning units that give you cool and "white noise" to help with that. There are no elevators so if you travel heavy be prepared. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Calistoga and the two restaurants on either side of the lobby are both very good. They do have a parking area for your car while you are a guest. The spa area is pleasant and relaxing. Our treatments were very nice. There is a pool and hot tub area behind the hotel which I took advantage of in the morning for a few laps. I would stay here again but would really try to find special rates. If you like old hotels and are not requiring glitz and high end amenities this is a great little spot to stay. It is comfortable, clean, and well lock aged for wine country.

Wonderful and relaxing!Posted Apr 11, 2015
What a wonderful hotel! Everything was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The staff were always welcoming and helpful. The complimentary "breakfast" was weak- you are better off going to any of the adorable restaurants just steps from the hotel. But otherwise I absolutely loved this hotel. The two restaurants in the hotel were delicious- a must eat if you stay!

Exactly what we was looking forPosted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: Small with friendly staff who did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay.
Cons: One day, the pool water was on the cold side, but after someone told the staff, they proceeded to increase the water temperature.
Location: In addition to wineries, went to petrified forest, old faithful geyser of CA (not overly impressive but both were interesting) and drive to the coast.
Small hotel with an excellent staff. Enjoyed that we could walk around town, walk to tasting rooms but also able to drive to other attractions in the area. We stayed in a cottage and enjoyed the privacy. Spa was excellent.

Great Place to StayPosted Mar 31, 2015
I loved this motel. It is right in the middle of main street with easy access to the entire community. The room was simple and very clean. Loved the espresso machine in the room! The pool area was beautifully maintained and a peaceful retreat. Above and beyond though, the staff were awesome! Helpful, kind, cordial, accommodating - just lovely people.
