Noisy room; rude staff

Posted May 7, 2015
Pros: Good location downtown
Cons: Better trained staff
I was expecting more from this hotel which was advertised as an Expedia VIP property. Instead I got a noisy room directly across a narrow walkway from a busy restaurant Furthermore the young man who checked me in and the young woman who checked me out were both unfriendly and unhelpful. I will not stay there again

The rooms are very nice, located right in downtown Napa with good restaurants within walking distance. Loved the breakfast delivery! And the beds are very comfortable

Convenient Location

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Because I requested two beds we were put in the annex around the corner. The Inn, which is in an old mill, is attractive and the beds are to die for. We hated to get up. Great continental breakfasts from the bakery brought to your room every morning. Restaurants and some shopping within walking distance. We were happy with our choice for a mother daughter week in Napa Valley. Apple

Pros: Walking distance of everything downtown.
Cons: The gas logs could have worked a little better. But they might of been set that way for safety.
Had a enjoyable time. Great view of the river. Staff was very pleasant.

Excellent for visits to Napa

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: Sweetie Pies. Yummm.
Cons: We did struggle a bit with the room HVAC system. Sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold.
This hotel worked out great for me during a visit to Napa. Yountville, St Helena and Calistoga were not far up the road so everything was reasonably accessible. Friendly staff that appeared eager to please. Highlight is breakfast at Sweetie Pie's next door. You get breakfast vouchers for food from Sweetie Pie's brought to your room, but I preferred to bring the voucher in and enjoy breakfast right there at the bakery. Don't miss it!

Nice boutique hotel in great Napa location

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Excellent location. Large, comfortable well-appointed room. Professional staff.
Cons: Include both coffee and juice in the breakfast that is included in the room rate.
Location: Very convenient location. Quiet, river-side spot, but only a couple of blocks from the restaurants and tasting rooms in downtown Napa.
Our stay at the Napa River Inn was just what we had hoped. We were greeted by the staff and offered some wine while we checked in. We had asked for a room with double beds instead of the original reservation for a king bed and they were able to comply with this request. The room was large, vary comfortable and well appointed. The small patio overlooking the river was nice, but the weather was too cool to take advantage of it. The location is excellent - just a couple of blocks from all of the tasting rooms and restaurants in downtown Napa. The included continental breakfast from the neighboring bakery was good, but nothing special. A little disappointed that we had to choose between coffee and juice - I would have thought that both would be included. Otherwise, nothing but good things to say about the Napa River Inn.

Napa wine country vacation.

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The room service staff are the nicest we've met anywhere. Everyone at the hotel is excellent.
Cons: Parking gets a bit tight in the evening during dinner hour; other than that, not much.
Location: The city of Napa itself and the downtown area are exceptionally clean and an easy walk from the hotel. Many restaurants and shopping opportunities.
Having never been to the Napa Valley area before, we really didn't know what to expect. The hotel and staff were amazing and very much went out of their way to accommodate our needs during our stay. The hotel concierge also went out of her way to help us plan an outing for our 15 year old daughter. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
