Great Location

Love the Happy hour Monday, and the game that had set off the restaurant area called Corn Hole. Our hole family had fun with that.

Nice hotel in Napa

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Pool, position, courteous helpful staff.
Cons: More choice on menu. Breakfast was a little disappointing.
Location: Near to town of Napa and handy to visit wineries.
Nice hotel, staff very helpful, great pool, good position by river - enjoyed Happy Hour! We stayed here for 2 nights, the second night our room had a view at the back over the river which was good. We are visitors from England and would recommend this hotel highly.

Cons: noise level is too high, there is a smell of "hotel" in corridors
It was OK, a bit too noisy and smelly for the price though :)

Paid too much for a night's stay in Napa

Posted Jun 28, 2015
River Terrace Inn had a welcoming staff and responsive valets. Everything else was below standard: The worst was the room air conditioner--it drove us crazy. Blew right on us and cycled on and on noisily all night We tried to reset it several times, but even at 74 degrees we were uncomfortable with the blowing air. The pillows were too soft. The movie cost $17.99 to rent!! The breakfast was poor. The scrambled eggs were cooked in some sort of oil, not butter. The melon in the fruit cup was mostly melon and mostly under ripe. We had hoped for quiet, but the piped in music from the lobby boomed up to our room as well as the guitar playing on the terrace below. We also could hear the thud of the elevator even though we were two rooms away. All in all not worth the $$$$ we paid to stay there.

Nice hotel, but wrong side of the tracks

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Very nice, well maintained hotel with a friendly, but not overly knowledgeable staff. The only problem was it's location-cut off from downtown Napa by both the River and the train tracks. It's not a terribly bad walk, but it would have been nicer to stay in the true downtown area.

Great location

Loved this hotel...bikes were awesome to take daily rides to oxbow market and downtown Napa. We were close enough to wine taste and also enjoy dinners in Yountville. Happy hour and drinks by the fire at night were great.

Not a 4 star hotel

Posted Jun 14, 2015
4 star hotels get the little things correct. This one didn't. The pool is in the shade all afternoon. It does not "overlook" the river as they claim. You would need to be on the 2nd floor to see the river. The shower doors were installed backwards. In order to get out of the shower you needed to squeeze past the sink. They left a tacky sticky note on the bathroom mirror advertising their evening music show. Just not a 4 star experience.

Bottle Rock

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: That the bar served small plates after Bottlerock
Cons: Needs to have a full service bar with more than just wine and beer
Location: Close to Bottle Rock, loved it
We enjoyed the hotel very much. Staff was very nice. A little over priced for the room. The bar needs to have more than just wine and beer. Should have a full service bar. The food was very good but limited on the menu. I would stay again
