Convenient to Napa experience.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Convenience to Napa experiences
Cons: need new bed linens, new lobby furniture, sheet rock repairs. Small amenities would be nice like bottled water provided on the house.
Location: Napa speaks for itself. Great place to visit for wineries and lots of friendly folks.
Hotel is worn out and way too pricey. No real amenities which I expect for the price of this place. The sheets on the bed were nice at one time, but are loosing stiching now. Stained furniture in the lobby, bottoms of lobby bar stooks coming out--- some minor earthquakte damage to sheetrock in room. All bottled water in room were priced (very tacky for the price of the room). The hotel owner needs to invest in rehab to get it back to where it was a few years ago.

Ok hotel, nothing special

We were there for the earthquake. I found it interesting the hotel had no emergency lighting or backup generator so you could see to get out, or access your room again if you liked. Other than that it was fine. Basically a holiday inn with Hilton prices. Location was good. I would personally go elsewhere next time.

Not what I expected from 4 star place

For this price and marketing of this hotel I expected more. The room was very comfortable. But the hotel decor and amenities didn't measure up to the rooms. It looks like this place needs a refresh.

Excellent location

We spent three days here and we loved it. The hotel is quaint and pretty. It's not super fancy but it has a lot of charm. The outdoor patio/restaurant is beautiful and had a fire pit (unfortunately it was never lit while we were there) They provide live outdoor music on the weekends. The restaurant is small but very nice. The menu did not have as large as a selection as we would have liked and the portions were on the small size for the cost but it was delicious. The room was lovely with a beautiful bathroom and complimentary robs. The bed was very comfortable with down pillows and duvet. It includes a small fridge. We had a view of the parking lot and it was still very quiet. The pool area was nice but small and because of the location of the building and trees the sun did not last long at the pool. The hotel is only a stone thrown away from the wine train and the Osbow market and downtown. We had a good rate from Expedia during our stay and wanted to extend it but the rate was double for the weekend. I wouldn't pay the double rate. On a side note, Yountville is beautiful so if this hotel doesn't have availability I highly recommend the town of Yountville as another option for stay in Napa. Hotels there are stunning and you can start your bike tour of the vineyards from there. There is a bike shop there that offers self guided tours (be sure to book 24hrs in advance) or full tours or you can get.a map and do it completely on your own.

Not worth the rates they charge whatsover.

The Westin next store charges the same rates an truly is a 4.5. This is a 3 at best! I was disappointed. No amenities.

Pros: Room size and good AC. Also staff.
Cons: Live music could be better.
Location: Easy access to vineyards.
We had 2 pleasant nights at the very nice and extremely well staffed River Terrace. Giant rooms. Great AC in 104° weather. Safe easy parking. Great access to vineyards and towns. Snappy room service though a bit pricey. Good value. Very pleased.

Nice hotel close to downtown Napa. Our room was very large and clean. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and we ordered room service for breakfast that exceeded my expectations. Hotel staff was friendly and checking in and out was painless. Would stay here again.
