“Unique spot in Naples.”

Naples is a wonderful but difficult city to grasp and assimilate and having a beautiful location to return to each day, with gracious and attentive service, is a welcome refuge. Since the sights are sprawled throughout the entire city, we would have been been more disoriented without the Excelsior as point of reference from which to start and return each day. Excellent food, bar, helpful reception and concierge. Will always recommend and return.

“Convenient location”

We just stayed at this marvelous hotel from June 20-23, 2011. It is conveniently located near the port, if you plan on taking the ferries to the islands, which I highly recommend. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The airport is only 10-15 min drive by taxi. The Beverello port is only a 15 min walk or taxi 5 min, about 5 €. make sure the taxis run their meter instead of giving you a flat rate!! Naples city is very dirty with huge piles of garbage piled everywhere, except around this hotel. It has a magnificent rooftop terrace with great vies of the harbor and city. Breakfast is included which had a good variety. I had dinner one night, and it was very expensive, and the menu was limited. The quality of dinner was overpriced, in my opinion. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would stay here again.

“The Grand Dame of Naples”

A majestic, beautiful hotel - sweeping staircases, fabulous ballrooms etc. Our hotel room was very large with amazing high ceilings. Excellent views of Vesuvius (we had an sea view room) and prime place to watch the action in busy Naples. This must be one of the best hotels in Naples.

“Great hotel in wonderful location”

I went on a business trip and was very pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting such luxury! The staff were very formal and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great, but the room service food was far too overpriced and not that good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to business travelers and people looking for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I didn't see many families with young children there, but i'm sure they cater to all. It is a very good hotel. Definitely one of the best in Naples.
