Authentic, historicalPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The staff
Cons: Tea/coffee in room
Location: Accessible to town but the streets are filthy & rubbish strewn.
Just ok........nice, friendly, helpful staff, traditional building. But would have liked tea/coffee option in the room & restaurant had small menu in evening with little options

Average hotel, bad smell in roomsPosted Nov 15, 2013
The hotel is pleasant enough, nothing exciting but clean and good transport connections within walking distance. The food in the restaurant is good but expensive. There's no bar, which would have been nice to be able to have a drink in the hotel in the evenings. My only complaint is that our room from time to time had a horrible toilet smell but this may have been because they were doing work on our floor which involved the pipes and water system. The concierge also weren't very helpful when we asked for directions- we only realised on our last day that we could have jumped on the funicular down the street to take us either down to the Spanish quarter where we ate every night, or straight to the national archaeological museum instead of walking. I also wouldn't take their recommendations of where to eat. Stick to trip advisor.

Pros: Extraordinary old building. Great terrace views
Location: A bit out of the way for the center of town, so lots of taxi rides, but quieter
Staff very helpful. Problem with water leak first night meant relocation to hotel down road which was lousy. Rest of stay fine except mediocre dinner last night. Great view of Bay

Friendly staff willing to help.Posted Nov 3, 2013
Friendly staff willing to help, only compliant would be to serve fresh orange juice at breakfast and not the diluted with water type. Would stay here again. Ideal for the port, museum and shops.

Single beds were way too smallPosted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: View and pool area. Good location to airport.
Cons: Everything but the setting and pool.
Location: Mediocre neighborhood and worse restaurants in the area. Nothing to do which is comfortable.
The single beds were way too small and had no mattress pads, which i find to be a negative. One very small elevator for our hall was inadequate. The restaurant was very pricey. The hotel was definitely better than the neighborhood, for sure. Altogether, my recommendation is to avoid Naples, unless you must go there.

Historic hotel with great view of NaplesPosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Loved the history, situation and 7th floor, the concierge was always very helpful and arranged a brilliant tour for us to see Pompei and Vesuvius
Cons: Staff were a little overwhelmed on 4th floor restaurant taking time to be served and it was expensive to drink/eat here when eating out reasonable
Location: We loved the little restaurants down in the spanish quarter, transport into town was cheap and easy although it was not far to walk (uphill back).
We had a really enjoyable weekend. Loved the history, situation and 7th floor, the concierge was always very helpful and arranged a brilliant tour for us to see Pompei and Vesuvius. Staff were a little overwhelmed on 4th floor restaurant taking time to be served and it was expensive to drink/eat here when eating out reasonable. We loved the little restaurants down in the spanish quarter (had three courses from between 24-46 euros with wine each night), transport into town and back was cheap and easy although it was not far to walk so long as you don't mind climbing the hill.

Beautiful setting and lovely roomsPosted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: It's heritage and setting.
Cons: The jacuzzi bath did not work. Mini bar prices extortionate.
Location: Very accessible to work to the port and old town.
A Wonderful luxury experience. We stayed in one of the rooms with a courtyard and a sea view which was worth the price. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal for exploring the city.

Shame for not getting what I paid for.Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Stunning views
Cons: The staff should be more forthcoming if there was any problems with the bookings
Checked in on the 22nd only to find out that I was given a single room as opposed to a double which I'ved booked via Expedia. It even states on my intenary that I'll be having a double room. I spoke to the manager in charged at the time (Antonio if I could remember) He told me that there were problems with the air conditioning in several rooms including the one I Boole for. Quite strange he didn't mentioned it the moment I checked in. Anyway, I told him to keep me updated with regards to the situation and that if there's a double room available I should be informed ASAP. I also queried if there would be some form of compensation as I've paid for a bigger room only to get a smaller one. I told him it's like paying for a Big Mac and getting a cheeseburger instead. He decided to waiver the wifi charges at 5 euros a day. So I ended up staying for 4 nights in a single room instead of a double which I've paid for. Apart from that annoyance, everything else is expected from a 4 star hotel. Just would like to note that the other manager which her name I can't remember, told me that she can move me to the bigger room if I didn't mind the air conditioning wasn't working. I just wished I was compensated fairly and not just waivering the wifi fees.

Avoid these scam artists at all costs...Posted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overpriced hotel that tries to double bill you on your checkout. The bathroom/shower was grotesque, the restaurant exceptionally overpriced, the location almost impossible to find. Forget that Naples is the armpit of Italy, this place should be avoided. Other than that the view of Mt. Vesuvius their is no reason to stay here.
