A step above a hostelPosted Nov 12, 2013
The hotel was in a terrible neighborhood and had homeless people sleeping in the streets. A block down there were stray dogs eating all the trash that was strewn everywhere. Continual sounds of sirens all night and a light was on across the street that lit up the room making it difficult to sleep. The staff was not multilingual (the website said they were). There weren't towels and the bathroom was filthy and ridden with mold. They had napkins instead of toilet paper and an industrial soap dispenser. The AC was broken and would not turn off, so the room was freezing. When we left for dinner they made us leave our room key and lock box key! We were starving so we ran out and came right back and he gave us the wrong key twice. Very unprofessional and unsafe. The door could be jiggled open without much force, so we slept with a chair in front of the door just in case. Never again would we stay there and would rather sleep on the train. Talking to a friends she said that the hotel is situated in a hooker district and that the hotel may rent out rooms hourly while you are out (hence the reason they make you leave your key). Don't know how true that is, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was.

Cheap hotelPosted Oct 1, 2013
I was very disappointed about the hotel. It was kind of near the train station, but the taxi driver went around and charged me more, but I heard actually it was only 3 blocks away. So if someone is traveling by train and looking for a cheap hotel, then yes. Otherwise, do not expect anything. The hotel staff, they don't speak English. The first night when I got there, the staff asked me to pay city tax in cash. I told him, the other hotels where I stayed I paid it when I checked out. The staff told me I had to pay when I check in. So fine! I paid it. Next day, different hotel staff, asked me to pay city tax again. I told him I already paid. He said no I didn't. I told him I paid it to different guy. He kept saying I didn't pay. Also, he couldn't speak English and couldn't understand English either. Just kept asking me to pay the money.... The final day, when I was checking out, they asked me to pay the city tax again!!!! Also, the hotel was in some kind of ghetto area. The room I stayed was in different building, and when I tried to take an elevator it wasn't free. I normally don't use elevator, but with my heavy suit cases, I had to... and I paid. Unfriendly, non-English speaking hotel staff, and the hotel wasn't in good area. I don't really want to recommend this hotel.

Shady businessPosted Jul 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Staff did not speak English. Required that we pay additional fees and became confrontational when questioned. Showed receipt from hotels.com yet still did not understand. Sign posted regarding city tax of two Euros pp. We agreed to pay just to get out of there. Staff took 20 Euros and refused to give change. Essentially, we ended up paying the equivalent of an additional $26 just to get out of there. Even so, staff still wanted mor money..Additionally, who were wakened by sounds of noisy flea market taking place right outside our window at 6:00 a.m. Worst hotel experience ever!

great hotel.Posted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location couldn't have been any better. Very close to central station. The hotel was gorgeous, not what I was expecting from the neighborhood.

Hotel and room extremely well kept. Very clean. Very good value for money. Staff keen to be helpful. Most impressed that they gave us a room to use to freshen up before our late departure.

Small hotel, small price. Varied net access.Posted Dec 25, 2012
Pros: Location and price
Cons: No internet in the room
Location: Small side street, walking distance to the main train station.
The majority of the employees of this hotel are older Italian men, 95% of whom speak no English. While that wasn't too much of a problem, it may be something that needs to be communicated. The hotel is on a small side street, nearish to the train station, a bit difficult to find. A taxi ride there will cost you 10 Euros or so. The room itself was small, not quite cramped, but very 'cozy', as was the bathroom. I had room 27 which was really frustrating because it was far away from the upstairs bar area, the one spot that has wi-fi in the hotel. If I'd had a room in the lower 20's, I'm sure the wifi would have reached to the room. I needed to use a plug from the bar to power my laptop while on the net. No one objected, though, and all the staff worked around me. Overall, the hotel was acceptable, certainly for the price.

An OasisPosted Sep 30, 2012
Pros: Clean and airconditioning.
Cons: Wifi not working during our stay.
Location: Very close to the termini but quiet.
An oasis near the chaotic Termini area of Naples. The staff were very helpful. Rooms had a safe and were clean with air-conditioning.

just if you need a place to crash for a nightPosted Sep 12, 2012
Pros: the great amount of TV channels.
Cons: too many....old, bathroom was a shoe box (actually the whole room was) something was humming all night to intervals of 15 mins (those being peaceful).
Location: near the train station, close to the bus to the airport.
do not stay there unless you need the train station or a quick getaway for the airport. The area is not good and there is nothing to do close by.
