A Garden in the City rooftop landscape

Posted Jul 17, 2013
This friendly small family run BnB is excellently located central to see Naples attractions. Though it is on the third floor (with no lift) of a building set back behind an unassuming glass entry door with buzzer intercom; the delight of sitting out on the roof terrace among the many beautiful well kept flowering plants is a little oasis in a noisy bustling city. The owners were friendly and able to speak English and help me with my travel plans.

very difficult to find

Posted Jun 13, 2013
the location is very difficult to find. The B & B is located in a small laneway with no sign. I got lost on the way. It located on the 5th floor with no lift. Large luggage is not recommended. The worse thing is the host who has no idea where is the airport bus.

Good location in an exciting part of Naples

Posted May 24, 2013
Pros: Location in the heart of Naples
Cons: The stairs
This is a bed and breakfast in a most interesting part of Naples, the Old Spanish Quarter - a very crowded, busy, somewhat run-down, but extremely lively area. I Fiori di Napoli is not easy to find, but is very close to the new Toledo metro station which gives easy access to the National Archealogical Museum - a must if you are planning to go to Pompeii. Unfortunately, connections from this station to the main railway station, and the other metro line are not easy, but can be done with a little persistance and walking. The only criticism is that the b & b is on the top floor of an old building, and there is no elevator, so humping bags up and down is not for the elderly or those with weak legs. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Roberta and Manuella were very helpful with information and arranging taxis, etc. They have an attractive roof garden where they grow some beautiful blooms. There are some excellent and inexpensive restaurants nearby - check out "Pizza and Baba" just a short distance from I Fiori di Napoli.

A great short stay

Posted Apr 18, 2011
I stayed at I Fiori Di Napoli for 2 nights. Although slightly difficult to find (the only sign is on the buzzer itself - look out for a big double brown door on the right as you start going up Via Francesco Girardi), and pretty tiring to get to (it's on the 3rd floor) the hospitality and location are brilliant. Not only is it right next to one of the main shopping and eating areas of Naples, a short walk up the hill gets you a fantastic view of the bay. The neighborhood itself is fine - small streets and slightly busy roads (as with most of naples), but very charming and the locals are all very helpful. The lady who runs the place is very nice, and her dog is also very friendly. As far as I could tell the 'shared bathroom' was only used by myself, and the flat itself is pretty open-plan and welcoming. I was given a set of keys to the front doors and the room upon arrival, allowing me to come and go as I pleased. I skipped breakfast the first day (which the lady was a little concerned about!), but on the second I was welcomed by a lovely selection of melba toast, jams, espresso, and a custard-filled croissant - all very tasty! The hotel has lots of leaflets for tours etc, and the owner seemed more than fine with me leaving my bag there (even after having checked out), and also refilling my water bottle from her tap (again, very tasty!). All in all a great base for those wishing to do their own thing, but be well-looked after too. I would definitely stay again!
