“Great place to stay!”
We had a great time while at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort . Everything went as planned. We were a little dissappointed at the surprise $18.00 per day valet service without a choice to option out of it. Just include this in the price, no surproses needed. Stay was great and I would recommned the place to others.
“Completely satisified”
Great location, friendly staff, great food.
“"Not just a number"”
We were very impressed with this hotel & its very accommodating & amiable staff. We were looking for a real getaway from our busy lives & this hotel was the solution. The room wasn't just a bedroom but a suite with a kitchen! Our view was fabulous for the sunsets. We also enjoyed both the pool & the beach & loved the daily complimentary drinks at 3. We received very personal service & didn't feel like "just a number" as in some of the chain hotels. We would enjoy going back!
“can't wait to go back”
all was really nice. Parking $18.00 + tax may be too much, but service was excelent. Vacation.... Cannot count penny.
“Marcos's best”
Excellent choice!
“Marco Island's hidden jewel!”
There is not a lot of time in your life that you are treated like a VIP for a jack of all trade like me. Service was awesome from our arrival with the valet having a list of checking in guests waiting at the door and welcomes you, taking care of all your luggage and grocery bags to rush them to your room and park your car away from any kind of danger or unwanted dents on a rental. I think that the valet $18 a day fee should be included in the room's price as its mandatory anyways, and offer a $18 discount or free breakfast for those who doesn't have a car to park. We loved the fresh perfume in the lobby, the 5th floor was perfect as its the swimming pool's level (its located over the valet's parking lot where they park your car). The garden view is breathtaking even if you don't see the ocean, at night you don't see it anyways and its only few steps from the hotel to take a dip in it. Awesome pool and beach bars service with complimentary 3 pm smoothies. We loved all the services and attentions like complimentary chairs, umbrella and towels at the beach and at the pool, dish washing included into room service, chocolate squares on the bed after evening room service, real person calling for wake up call instead of a machine, very respectful staff and smiling room service staff. We enjoyed and will go back there for sure!
“Went well”
The hotel was very nice and in a beachfront location. The room offered us this time was not very good aesthetically. It was a handicapped room with a view of bushes that have grown beyond a garden stage. The hotel is on the beach and that part was excellent, but the room, though quite clean, was poorly set up for us. The hotel never told us that it was an handicap room from the start and the showers and lack of drawer space, due to the type of room, was a negative. Would not return unless the room was on a different floor and it was normally equipped.
“Great Hotel”
Friendly Staff, great location, beach was great, and beach bar/grille was great too
“Perfect”
This was my first time at MBOR, but certainly not my last. The room was perfect. I got a view (tiny peek) of the ocean though I didn't request it (it's the small things). Having the room serviced twice daily was wonderful; they always did a great job. Walking in I was worried because it seemed so "fancy" in my son's words, so I was worried it'd be stuffy and there'd only be an older crowd and no kids for mine to play with, but there were more families than anything else. Lots of kids. Staff was very friendly everywhere on premises. PROS: Having a full kitchen was great for saving money and spending more time on the beach and at the pool. Complimentary smoothies at 3pm (though we always missed them), and free beach chairs and umbrellas. CONS: half-sized refrigerator was hard to work with for a longer stay, and yes, I'm definitely on the same bandwagon as the other reviewers - $18/ night mandatory valet was excessive and unecessary! A laundry room would have been fantastic so we wouldn't have to put on wet bathing suits or come home straight to do laundry, and the pool was small for the amount of people, and somewhat boring. Would have been nice to have a splash area for the kids or something of the sort. Overall though, none of those cons are enough to make me NOT recommend this hotel. It was a fun, relaxing vacation that we'll definitely do again.
“Clean but small”
I was expecting a big resort and this is not one of them. 1 small pool, small rooms and that is pretty much it. The main asset is access to the beach and service of towels, umbrella and chairs. For the price, I was expecting a resort like the ones found in Orlando.
