Nice hotel with excellent staff

Posted Jul 19, 2015
The hotel was great. The staff was very helpful In setting up a private car to take us to Pompei and Positano at a discounted price. The breakfast was nice with excellent service there too. The city is under construction while they add a new metro line.

Naples Hmmmm!!!

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Before out trip to Naples we did our homework!! we new which places we wanted to visit, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum and Sorrento, for our four day stay. On arrival at airport, we got the alibus tickets, short walk to bus stop, (they run every 20 minutes) this took us straight to the port very close to our hotel, so all good. Got a quiet room, as requested, nice and clean, bathroom OK, a bit of mould around the bath, this was mentioned on another review, so we did know! Breakfast good, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs bacon (abit fatty) plenty fruit, cereals, toast and pastries tea and coffee. Hotel central for shops, metro which took us to the train station, did walk one day to train station but for 1 euro each the metro is quicker. Our tour of Pompeii was very good, Vesuvius would not recommend using the "Vesuvius bus' at the Zeus camping place, the buses are not properly air conditioned, old fashioned blowers, and when it's 35 degrees!! Mount Vesuvius takes a good thirty minutes, footwear, trainers, not sandles as the path is steep and a sandy gravel!! Once at the top excellent views, If you cud only two of the afore mentioned i personally preferred Herculanem, we did just take ourselves around, using a free map on entrance. On our last day on return train my partner was pickpocket, not much taken but not nice! Used boat from port to Sorrento, lovely shops. All in all, Naples lets itself down, with litter, graffiti and beggers everywhere! Hotel wud recommend.

Nice centrally situated hotel

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: Staff were charming and friendly at reception and also for breakfast service. Breakfast menu excellent.
Cons: One disappointment was the absence of a bar to relax in after a hard day's sightseeing.
Location: Ideally situated for opera goers and the main shopping streets as well as the historic centre. The underground links to the station and the museum.
Enjoyed a busy week in a vibrant part of Naples. Convenient for the Opera and nearby restaurants and shopping. Close to the port for boats to Capri. Within walking distance of historic centre. The area is currently undergoing major works but don't be put off. A new underground station opened while we were there barely two minutes from hotel. The airport bus has a drop off and pick up stop very nearby.

We found that Palazzo Turchini was convenient to transportation, because it was near the port. However, traffic in that area is chaotic. The staff were helpful and had good senses of humor. Breakfast was very nice.

Alles in Ordnung, sehr freundlicher Service. Dusche hatte starke Kalkablagerungen.

Very good hotel close to port

Good, clean hotel close to the port (we went to Capri one of the days). Good breakfast, excellent customer service, reasonable price. Definitely will stay there again when in Naples.

Weekend break - ideal

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Location and staff were excellent. The room was just what we needed.
Cons: I missed having a kettle in the room (as I am a tea drinker) but for coffee lovers you have cafes every other stop.
Location: The old town is a must and the view from the top of the hill. We did the sightseeing bus tours which give you ideas to vist and an a good overview.
We booked a last minute break to Naples and thought the location would be pretty central to our needs. We got off the plane and straight on the bus that went to the port via Central Stration. The hotel was a short 5. Minute walk from there. (Watch the traffic!) The hotel was very accommodating as we arrived before check in so they looked after our belongings and kept our valuables for us safe whle we explored the city. We were given recommendations of where to go and a map which really helped. We returned to find our bags in the room. We had a room with a view onto the Main Street. Remember, this is a small hotel with 27 rooms, but when you are out and about you don't need the space! The room was very clean and comfortable with good facilities. (Just missed a kettle!) Breakfast was on the 6th floor which was a great start to the day. A light room with a roof terrace. Another visit to the city is a must as we want to explore more, I would definitely stay here again.

Klein aber feines Hotel in günstiger Hafenlage.

Posted Apr 27, 2015
