“so so”

The location is great for getting on a train. There were a couple of LARGE tour groups at the hotel and breakfast was a nightmare. The A/C was disabled due to the season and the room was stuffy with no way to fix the problem. Staff was friendly and helpful. We cut our stay short mostly because Naples is a trash heap. Our last stay in Naples was much better as was this hotel.

“Central Loaction”

Nice hotel next to the central train station. Free wifi in lobby was nice, but would have been better in the room. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't very clean. Breakfast was good.

“Not impressed”

Great location -behind train station- but building is getting old and requires maintenance. TV channels and Air condition did not work but it was fixed immediately. Staff very friendly.

Getting around
Visiting several places and attending local events. Churches and museums are very unique experience
Shopping
You can find a lot os places for shopping and prices are quite reasonable.

“Excellent Location”

The Hotel Ramada Naples is conveniently located near the Naples railway station. The rooms are clean, the service is excellent, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff spoke English and German (in addition to Italian). The hotel room television had TV channels from many countries. The only problem with the hotel is that sometimes trash would accumulate outside the building, but this is a common problem in all of Naples.

“good value for the money and convenience of being close to the Railroad Terminal”

Excellent value for the money, esp. considering the prices of Naples hotels. 5" walk to central railway terminal; decent rooms, good breakfast, helpful desk clerk(multi-lingual), and free wi-fi in lobby, dining room. Restaurant for dinner so-so and expensive. Neighborhood pretty iffy and not for browsing or walking around. Taxi service to front door fast and efficient. Stayed there 2 nights: night before train departure to Sicily and night after returning.

next to waterfront, esp. if you are taking a ferry
Getting around
learn to use public transportation as taxis are expensive; trains are a good deal; inexpensive, comfortable, punctual, and gets you to just about everywhere in Italy(and Europe). The USA needs to learn from Europe.

“A Good Hotel with Good Service Close to the Rail Station.”

The Naples Ramada is very close to the Rail Station. There was construction on the road in front while there. A lot of trash was on the street between the station and hotel, but was mostly cleaned up our last night there. The hotel was like new inside. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good Breakfast with eggs and bacon and a lot of sweet type rolls. Staff was very helpful and friendly in the breakfast room. Room was large (we had a triple) and was reasonably quite. I would stay there again. It was a good value relative to a lot of other hotels.

“Absolutely fine transit hotel”

The hotel is in a very convenient location for those travelling to/from Sorrento, as its directly accross the street from the train exit, and only a less than 10 minute walk from the main train terminal with the eurostar trains. The neighborhood was disgusting, the smells, the garbage, it was just filthy. We walked 10 minutes to find a clean street and trattoria for dinner as we were exhausted from travelling, and it was fine. The hotel itself was good, easy check in and very large rooms. The bathroom had a broken shower head but we didn't push the matter with the front the desk as we were only there overnight. Breakfast was your typical italian continental breakfast. We had no issues at all with the hotel but would definitely not recommend it for those holiday-ing in Naples... we'd advise to move far into the city and away from the Train Termini neighborhood if you are going to be there for more than 1 night.

“Great hotel, convenient to transportation”

This hotel was great! Now the area around the hotel is seedy, but if you are familiar at all with Naples if isn't the cleanest, nicest place. (sorry it's true) However, that being said the Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. Room was spotless everyday, and breakfast was good. The hotel was also ideal for getting around. Directly across the street is the train to Sorrento, Herculaneum and Pompeii. The train to Rome is a 5 minute walk and the Metro is right below it. We used all these things quite easily and we were a couple of middle-aged Americans. We found a Ristorante we loved downtown by the train station with Pizza Margherita for 4 Euros. Bellisima.

Area recommendations
Definitely go to the historic centre, quite charming and go to Molo Beverello where the ferrys leave for Capri and Ischia. Easy drive by taxi, 45 minute ferry ride to gorgeous islands.
