Luxury hotel facing Vesuvius across the port.Posted Nov 13, 2014
Excellent welcome at reception. All staff very helpful. Room comfortable but triumph of design over practicality. Overhead shower did not work. Excellent breakfast. Dinner very good but expensive compared with authentic cuisine in the city. Ignore criticisms of the traffic outside the hotel. It is Naples!

Fantastic hotel, not the greatest areaPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Really helpful staff, some lovely pieces of designer furniture and art work, close to the port.
Cons: There are 3 different places to eat in the hotel but 2 are high-end and the bar food is pricey compared with local alternatives
Location: Naples has some interesting museums and art galleries, the hotel is close to the port for a day trip to Naples, and Pompeii and Vesuvius nearby
Amazingly helpful staff, great hotel, view of Vesuvius (slightly hindered by the port building but probably still the best view from Naples - the higher up the hotel you are the better). Naples has so much potential and has easy links to Vesuvius, Capri, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Unfortunately the traffic pays little respect to pedestrians so you need to be alert, zebra crossings do not provide any additional safety! There is crime in the area with pick-pocketing and fake goods on sale (and you can be fined if you purchase) but if you are street-wise and sensible you should get along ok.

Top Quality Hotel & Friendly ServicePosted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
From arrival, the staff were really friendly and helped with finding good restaurants, giving directions and organising our follow on plans from Naples. The hotel has great facilities including a gym and rooftop pool which gets a lot of sun in the morning. The hotel was very clean throughout and well looked after. The only downside to the hotel is the location. Its close to the port which is useful but not many restaurants or decent cafes in the immediate area but this is rectified with a 10 min walk or a short metro journey. I would happily stay there again!

Best hotel in NaplesPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Have stayed 2x at Romeo, love the hotel. Have also stayed at the "Grand Hotels" in the area and was not impressed, most very tired and in need of renovation. Go to Ciro Mergellina for a fun dinner.

Very friendly and helpful staff, with typical Neoplolitan willingness and interest in engaging and assisting in any way.

5 star right at the harbourPosted Aug 2, 2014
we spend three perfect days and nights in the Romeo. the location is perfect to catch the boat to Capri. the rooftop pool is great! always heated to 25 C. the staff is worthy a 5 star hotel as all of them are extremely friendly (apart of one guy).
