Nice hotel, shame about the staff.

Pros: Very clean, lobby and bar area relaxing.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Central, good for metro into city centre.
Lovely hotel, central location, very close to train and new metro stations. We booked in February, giving plenty of time for room allocations & asked for 5th floor or above in order to benefit from city views. 1 couple were on the 2nd floor, 1 couple on 3rd floor & 1 single was on 3rd floor with no external window at all-just a view of an internal courtyard. When I asked for different rooms was just told 'no there are none'. The couple on 3rd floor had a tea tray, kettle, cups, coffee & tea in the room-but there was none in any other room, when I asked for the same in each room, was told 'no' as that room had been upgraded, with no explanation, despite us all paying the same. Having asked repeatedly for us all to have the same facilities, on 2nd day we finally were given a kettle which did not have the correct plug to fit the sockets. We asked in the kitchen for cups for each room & were told 'no' they don't supply them. They must physically have the facilities, having them in some rooms & not others, but had no inclination at all to accommodate any customer requests, no explanations either, leaving me to think that because we are Expedia customers, we get worse service. The checkout girl did not look up from her computer as we paid, there was no thank you or wishing us a good holiday, no eye contact at all, very poor customer service throughout the whole stay. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Comfortable, close to train station

Nice hotel in a great touristy area. Only there briefly to catch the train (very close) and was comfortable. Beautiful view from the top floor dining room, and the food was good.

Place to stay in Naples

Pros: Location to train station
Great location, can not get any closer to the central train station. Room was clean and quiet. Large breakfast. Staff speaks English. Called us a cab to the airport immediately after request made. Stayed there 6 nights, Sep 28 to Oct 3, 2014.

Clean hotel

Posted Sep 23, 2014
This hotel is very close to the train station which was why we chose it - which means, it is not in the nicest part of the city; however, we had no issues getting to the hotel or going for supper once settled in. The rooms were absolutely clean with a soft bed and spacious bathroom. Great place to stay for a night!

thoughts on Naples

Pros: location near the railway station good sized room great coffee & pastries at breakfast good breakfast service
Cons: safes in the room more varied & attractively arranged fruit at breakfast took a long time to get a drink at night
Location: railway building work ruined view quite a lot of beggars & street sellers in streets leading into the city near to tube station
good location to access train station for trips surrounding area was not pleasant very noisy with car traffic & so much hooting outside is a building area it was entertaining to watch the chaotic traffic from the balcony the staff were pleasant but not helpful when I reported I had been a victim of a scooter bag thief I was directed to the abandoned police station & railway police until a more enterprising receptionist googled the police & phoned them for the location of the station the room was clean & spacious & breakfast was varied & plentiful great views from the top of the hotel we had to keep using the security box in reception as there were not any room safes overall a good experience and I would book again

Next to train station shame about the locals!

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Not a four star quality hotel, staff could be more friendly. No tea/coffee/iron facilities in room. Nice breakfast unsure why called American breakfast, same food everyday. Found locals rude who ignore English people, barge past, try to overcharge at restaurants. Best restaurants metro rides away. Center itself slum like in areas/dirty. Multiple beggars/buskers. Fine for travel/business. Excellent train routes and prices.

Handy location

In Naples, being near the train station is a good thing. Reception were helpful & gave good advice on where to go in Naples. Beautiful breakfast and dining room, only marred by slightly rude service (I was moved from a table that had been reset for lunch, at 9:30am!!). Naples is a fairly unsafe city, but this hotel was safe, clean and very convenient.
