A good hotel in a poor position. We were there for a wedding near the brides home and our stay was clean, comfortable and as we would expect from an Italian 4 star hotel. However the surrounding place wasn't brilliant. To reach the beach was a quick walk across a very busy road full of Neapolitan drivers (they love to set pedestrians and other road users a challenge!) then under a graffiti-ridden tunnel. And then........I can't think I've been to a more dirty beach in my life and I live near Blackpool !!! To sum up..........Nice Hotel.........Shame about the Place.

A nice place to stay

This is a very nice hotel with a helpful, English- speaking staff and off-the-street parking. The breakfast buffet included an excellent variety. The hotel is set back from a main street and it seemed quiet at night. The busy location, although not particularly attractive, is very convenient for exploring Naples (the local train station is just across the street)and the sites west of Naples.

What a fantastic place

This hotel exceeded all of our expectations, I just wished I could have longer. The hotel is located a few minutes from the train station and is set back from the main road. We were travelling by train, whilst the public transport system in Naples is not integrated it was easy to find Lucrino station. It was very easy and cheap to get to all of the main tourist sites with the 90 minute tickets. The breakfast in the hotel was first class. We had a meal in the sister hotel (free shuttle) and had an awful experience but there are several good and affordable restaurants within 100mts of the hotel.

The room we had in this hotel was lovely, very clean & spacious it even had a hidden kitchen if you wanted to use it - all very well laid out & a nice big double shower. It was not in the nicest of places but we had a fantastic mealin a nearby restaurant. Station is very nearby & we went to Naples, Pozzuoli (to the ferries) & Pompeii easily.

We found the Villa Luisa Hotel to be very clean, very friendly, and the leisure facilities, although small, very relaxing. I would certainly recommend this hotel for being ideal if you do not wish to stay in central Naples. The metro/train is every 15-20mins and is extremely close to the hotel, approx 200m away, with Naples being about a 20 min ride away. Although the metro was so very close to the hotel we were never troubled by any of its noise. But a tip wouls be to take a Travellers Guide Book with you as the tourist information is in short supply. To top the area off we stumbled across one or two very good restaurants close by. Over all a lovely hotel that made for a lovely holiday.
