Great Midtown/Vanderbilt Hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: It was convenient for Midtown and Downtown destinations. They offered a shuttle which helped us get around since we weren't travelling with a car.
Cons: An airport shuttle would be helpful. Although it is far, it would be nice to offer. I would have been willing to pay a fee.
Location: The location is awesome! Right by great Midtown restaurants and bars. It's walk-able but far (1.5 mi) to the downtown strip. Try Hattie B's!
I had a wonderful stay at the Embassy Suites-Vanderbilt. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Unfortunately on the first night, a pipe burst in my room. The hotel staff response was quick and decisive, relocating me and comping my room for the issue. Otherwise, my stay was comfortable. I would definitely return.

I travel a good deal of time and always compare on hotel to my gold standard. The Embassy Suites in Nashville is now my gold standard. The hotel staff makes the difference and this staff could not have made by stay more enjoyable. Special mention needs to be addressed to the shuttle to downtown, the drivers were terrific.

Great place to stay close to downtown

Posted Jul 7, 2014
We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We enjoyed the free shuttle serviced to downtown (although we had to walk back as there was so much traffic the shuttles couldn't get through). Breakfast was great as always but they were a little overwhelmed the morning of the fifth.

Very friendly and accommodating

Posted Jul 2, 2014
The structure of this hotel was nice and open. Was like an atrium. Staff where very friendly and extremely accommodating. Breakfast was great everyday. Good variety with an omelette bar. Can't fault staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the bellhops. In particular Jeff. He was very patient and helpful as I was travelling with two seniors. Great shuttle rude to downtime nasville. Even picked you up after a night out.

Came for a long relaxing weekend with no big agend

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: It was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Better upgrade of liquor at evening social. I no it's free stop complaining LOL
Location: Relax in bars and resturants with the locals, who were all very friendly. Locals don't go downtown Nashville to relax. I'm sure there was more to do.
My wife and I found the Hotel and it's staff to be great. For us it was a perfect location, far enough from all the downtown activites but just a shuttle ride away. It was nice to get the free ride to downtown Nashville and when we were ready to come back just give a call to the Hotel and with in 10 to 15 min. we were picked up at the drop off location. The room was very clean and the morning breakfast was perfect. We enjoyed all the bars and eating places right around the Hotel , all with in walking distance ( 1 to 2 blocks ). Hotel was very busy that weekend but all was quiet and enjoyable.( Hattie B's has the best fried chicken in Tn, right across the street ). Again I will always stay there when I visit Nashville again.

Nice hotel, with one major flaw

Posted Jun 23, 2014
This was our first trip to Nashville and we were satisfied with the hotel staff and room. However, the temperatures hovered around 100 degrees with matching humidity, perfect pool weather, except there is no pool at this hotel. Would have to consider other accommodations next time in town. Other than that, the staff members were very helpful, the omelet chef at the complementary breakfast was excellent and the afternoon cocktail party was decent. Still, the no pool weighs heavily. Close to Vanderbilt, over a mile walk to the honky tonks and close to some nice restaurants.
