Really Not Bad for the Cost

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Mattress, pillows, bed linens
Location: A short drive to Target, a bunch of restaurants, Costco, a Starbucks, the mall and easy access to I-65
The best thing about this hotel is the location, the 2nd best was the staff. It's no frills but it works. It was also really quiet compared to some hotels I've stayed at. The biggest negative for me was the bed, pillows and covers. Pretty cheap feeling and not very comfortable.

When we arrived we were told that there was some construction and painting being done to hotel doors. We didn't see an issue the first night but the second day we did. The contractor was scraping away the paint on our door at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and then requested to open our door while sanding it. When bringing this issue up to the manager, Wendell, he was quick to apologize and let us know that it was out of line of the contractor. he ended up refunding our trip and because of his service we will be back!! The room was clean and we loved the kitchenette. I know it would've been a great stay without the inconveniencies. we will consider extended stay for future trips. Thanks again to the general manager of this location!

A low end motel in an upscale area

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: The room was nice looking, but a mix of up-to-date (laminate floors and modern blankets) and ancient (really old appliances)
Cons: There was almost nothing in the room, no soap, no bath mat, no dishes, no toilet paper, and a refridgerator that you couldn't close with out effort.
Location: It is located in Cool Spings near the Galleria. There are many restaurants and stores nearby.
My first choice of hotel wasn't available in the area, and I thought the Extended Space would be a nice compromise. It was about $40 cheaper than other hotels in the area, but I gave up a lot of amenities for that $40, and I will not be staying at an extended stay again. First, despite appearances, this is an outdoor motel, manning rooms open outside, rather to a common area inside. There are no elevators. I65 and all of its noisiess is nearby, so you need a fan or noisemaker not to hear it. Second, while the room had some updating and nice appointments, it was sparse. Maybe this is the way extended stays are, but there was nothing in the room: no soap, shampoo, dishes, bathmmat, or ice bucket. They didn't even have a "Do Not Disturb" sign for me to hang on the door and the staff attempted to barge in on me the next morning, despite me shouting at them to go away. There was a refridgerator in the room, but the freezer door hung improperly, meaning you had to lift it up otherwise the refridgerator door would not close. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone I know, and in fact would tell any friends asking about it to stay away. While it is close to where I wanted to be, and cheaper, the gap of amenities you give up is not worth the savings. Additionally, this will be my first and last extended stay visit.

Unfortunately due to a convention in the Nashville area this was the only hotel available. We were left no choice in the selection of this facility. The staff was very friendly the hotel was subpar. We reserve for three nights and left after two.

second time at an extended stay america

Posted Mar 30, 2015
When I arrived to check in at 3, the room wasn't ready and I had to wait until 430 to get in, but the staff was very sincere and I went to the mall to kill time. The mall is bascailly across the street. Nice location, clean room, beds could be a little more comfortable, but it was a nice place.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything!
The room was dirty and outdated with the bath being mouldy. Half the electrics didn't work, we had a family with dogs staying above us barking and dog mess outside our front door. I won't go on anymore it was awful.

Overall total disappointment

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Nothing! A total disappointment.
Cons: Staff attentiveness, maintenance, housekeeping, rate.
Location: Great location...minutes to major shopping mall. Close to I-65
I booked and PAID for this room for an associate...they checked in and the room assigned to them had not been thoroughly cleaned--asked for new room--room had a sofa bed that was not repaired...hard, impossible to get a good night's rest. totally disappointed in the property--would not recommend to friend or business associate. Great location--not worth the price--they need a major improvement in several areas: maintenance, staff cooperation, housekeeping.
