Very Nice Hotel next to Galleria Mall

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: the onsite laundry room
Cons: Staff response time to guest requests. Having the appropriate # of pillows & towels for the # of guests on the reservation to prevent calls for items
We were pleased w/the location of the hotel in relation to all the gym sites. The hotel is minutes from Galleria Mall, that has many restaurants, shopping & grocery stores & gas stations. The woman was pleasant at checkin on 7/8. We had a King size bed & pullout sofa bed for 3 adults & 1 child, yet had NO linens for the sofa bed & only 2 standard pillows on the king size bed. I called the front desk immediately & was told they would bring extra linen & pillows, asap. After 1hr we went to dinner & stopped by the office to see if it was dropped off when we were out & the man at the desk told me he was not told we needed the items when he came on shift & that someone would bring them asap. I guess asap @ 8pm is 3hrs bc we didn't receive the items until 11pm. We were exhausted by then after driving 12hrs from CT, unpacking & now having to wait that we didn't even make sure we had everything else we would need for breakfast. In the am the Full Service kitchen in our room, was not stocked, then was told that you need to request every item you need (this was not told to me at checkin or on the confirmation). Again told that someone would be right up with the silverware, bowls, plates, etc & after 1.5hrs of waiting we had to leave. Upon return @930pm still no kitchenware. I called the desk again & was told there was no one who could get the items at this time. Finally at 10am on our 2nd day of our 4 day stay we received kitchenware.

Newly renovated means smells like smoke and old furniture. The room we were given smelled horrible. It was like someone smoked a pack right before we got there and the smell lingered the entire trip. Also the newly renovated signs did not apply to the kitchen and bathroom because the cabinets and even toilet seat was peeling. We were only given 2 towels and 2 pillows. There was mold in the shower.

If you're in a pinch...

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Room was clean, bed comfy, and friendly staff. With that said, none of it makes up for the half inch gap around around the door that allowed cigarette smoke to come in, and quite possibly pests. We had to line the bottom of the door with towels and stuff tissue on the sides of the door to prevent smoke from entering. The smoke came from other patrons who loitered outside of their room while drinking. Absolutely tacky. Room service never came to refresh our towels or take garbage, which is unforgivable given how much we paid to stay. $120 I believe. There was some big festival so no other hotels were available but this and a 1.5 star. Of course, both were charging a premium, but we figured this had to be better than the 1.5 star. Wrong! If you are in a pinch this can get you by, it's close to shops and restaurants, but if there is a better option take it for sure.

Ok hotel

Posted Jun 13, 2015
My first problem was there were no dead bolts on the doors, almost left then. Carpets were dirty with obvious stains. Appears upkeep on property and rooms needs addressed. I won't stay again.

Pleasant staff, bad motel.

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: The staff was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The smell and cleanliness.
Location: The location is great. Near lots of restaurants and shopping.
I would not recommend this motel to anyone. We booked a non-smoking room and when we walked in it smelled of stale cigarettes. So much that my hair smelled when I went out of the room. There were crumbs under the bed that looked like they had been there for a while. There was a slit in the door so large that we could see outside and it was letting bugs in. The hotel was so disgusting we left and stayed somewhere else.

Great long term hotel with pets

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: The size of the room and landscaping around the hotel.
Cons: They were painting the doors even of the occupied rooms was was inconvenient but not impossible.
Location: The mall was right across the street and I highly recommend the quick trip into Old Downtown Franklin.
It was a great hotel for our dogs. Plenty of places to walk them and close to everything.

Really Not Bad for the Cost

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Mattress, pillows, bed linens
Location: A short drive to Target, a bunch of restaurants, Costco, a Starbucks, the mall and easy access to I-65
The best thing about this hotel is the location, the 2nd best was the staff. It's no frills but it works. It was also really quiet compared to some hotels I've stayed at. The biggest negative for me was the bed, pillows and covers. Pretty cheap feeling and not very comfortable.

When we arrived we were told that there was some construction and painting being done to hotel doors. We didn't see an issue the first night but the second day we did. The contractor was scraping away the paint on our door at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and then requested to open our door while sanding it. When bringing this issue up to the manager, Wendell, he was quick to apologize and let us know that it was out of line of the contractor. he ended up refunding our trip and because of his service we will be back!! The room was clean and we loved the kitchenette. I know it would've been a great stay without the inconveniencies. we will consider extended stay for future trips. Thanks again to the general manager of this location!

Room was disgustingly filthy, carpet was wet, there were empty beer cans and trash under night stand and bed, smelled horrible. Beds were old and uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back and neck.

A low end motel in an upscale area

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: The room was nice looking, but a mix of up-to-date (laminate floors and modern blankets) and ancient (really old appliances)
Cons: There was almost nothing in the room, no soap, no bath mat, no dishes, no toilet paper, and a refridgerator that you couldn't close with out effort.
Location: It is located in Cool Spings near the Galleria. There are many restaurants and stores nearby.
My first choice of hotel wasn't available in the area, and I thought the Extended Space would be a nice compromise. It was about $40 cheaper than other hotels in the area, but I gave up a lot of amenities for that $40, and I will not be staying at an extended stay again. First, despite appearances, this is an outdoor motel, manning rooms open outside, rather to a common area inside. There are no elevators. I65 and all of its noisiess is nearby, so you need a fan or noisemaker not to hear it. Second, while the room had some updating and nice appointments, it was sparse. Maybe this is the way extended stays are, but there was nothing in the room: no soap, shampoo, dishes, bathmmat, or ice bucket. They didn't even have a "Do Not Disturb" sign for me to hang on the door and the staff attempted to barge in on me the next morning, despite me shouting at them to go away. There was a refridgerator in the room, but the freezer door hung improperly, meaning you had to lift it up otherwise the refridgerator door would not close. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to anyone I know, and in fact would tell any friends asking about it to stay away. While it is close to where I wanted to be, and cheaper, the gap of amenities you give up is not worth the savings. Additionally, this will be my first and last extended stay visit.
