Under staffed

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Waited 1 hour to check in. No express check out so waited half hour to check out. Waited 45 minutes for vehicle at valet, they couldn't find our vehicle. Shorted us one breakfast voucher said she would deliver to room never arrived.

You need more front desk staff

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Facility is beautiful
Cons: More front desk staff
Location: Botanical garden is a must see. Amazing beauty.
Over 45 minutes in waiting line to check in!! After long day of traveling, it is not a good idea to keep the customer waiting for that long!!

Beautiful indoor with some drawbacks

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: Beautiful indoor designs make you feel like you are on a tropical island.
Cons: I really hate fees for everything. $23 a day for parking at the hotel I am staying in. $18 fee for water and internet.
Location: Opry Mills Mall and Grand Ole Opry
Good staff but the signage around the hotel entrance was confusing because what was the drop-off appeared to be staff only. I hate fees that cause make you feel as though you were tricked. $23 a day for parking and $18 a day for internet and 2 bottled waters. While the hotel is large is also means a long walk to the car, a very long walk which if it was free would not have been as irritating. Next time I would go to the smaller hotel that we stayed at the first time in Nashville where I got a free continental breakfast and parking then drive over at night to see the hotel.

Overpriced hotel

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Considering how much I paid to stay here, the amenities were small and definitely not worth what I paid per night. The pool closed at random hours and it's the size of a pool you'd see in a cheap motel. Someone knocked on my door at 8am to "fix the smoke detector" in my room when I had the Do not disturb sign posted, and then called again an hour later after I said I was still sleeping. I tried to eat in the hotel but when I arrived at the cafe, they had closed at 9:45- when the information I was given said they close at 11. Basically, this was not worth my money and I'm very disappointed. They seem very unorganized and it was not worth my money.

Great hotel close to the Opry

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Cons: More supervision at the pool, it was a free for all with only one lifeguard on duty, there needs to be more control at the pool.
The hotel and staff are excellent, the grounds are well kept and the atrium is a nice complement to the hotel experience.

Horrible stay

Posted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: the places to eat and scenery
Cons: the staff and so much more
Location: nothing near
I booked this hotel for two nights through expedia a few hours before my arrival. When I got there to check in I was greeted by Vanessa at the front desk (from Miami). Almost immediately she says to me we have an offer for you which is $150 credit to sleep on what was basically a pullout mattress. I told her no I would like the room I paid $315 a night for. She says one moment and goes to another room and talks for about 10 minutes on the phone. I get assigned a different room with a view of a wall. I went downstairs to complain and they give me the usual "you booked through a third party and we cannot refund any of your stay or offer you any credits" eventually I got a $50 "resort credit". I'm really upset with my stay here, how I was treated, and for booking it through expedia.

Not worth the money

Posted Mar 31, 2015
I found the rooms to be very plain and the room didn't even have a microwave. Also, there was a stain on the mattress that one can only assume was urine. I stayed at a hampton on the way to the Opryland Hotel that was much nicer and for a third of the money. The Opryland Hotel will also charge for everything they possibly can from parking to resort fees that include such things as water and wi-fi. -- things that other hotels include for free. I had never stayed there before and had such high expectations. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed.
