Why make reservations?

Posted Jul 5, 2014
When we arrived we were told the only room available was one with only a sofa bed. So remind me again why you make a reservation?

Overcrowded, impersonal, overpriced mega-hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Fitness centre. Free wifi
Cons: It can't reduce in size
Location: Grand Old Opry, country Music Hall of Fame, The Hermitage
We, along with some friends and family stayed at the Opryland during a long road trip through the Deep South. Never again. One of the guide books described it as being like a large cruise ship, but it isn't that good. The rooms are adequate but because of the huge scale of the hotel our room was not serviced until around 5 pm each day. All the restaurants are overpriced, particularly Ravello. But the worst aspect is the crowds. When we were there the place seemed to be populated by large groups of teenagers. For a hotel this size the pools are very small and not well equipped with umbrellas to provide shade, but worse, at 2pm they think it a great idea to have a DJ playing music at 200 db! For the rest of the afternoon. Marriott people, this is Tennesee not Ibiza! Pluses- the fitness centre is very good, wifi is free and the Grand Ole Opry is walking distance.

Cons: $18 for the internet is very steep price to pay and $21 for parking is ridiculous.
This was a great place to stay with family. Many things to do and close to shopping.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Don't charge guests to park.
Location: You don't really need to leave the hotel! Easy access to everything in and around Nashville via the Highway.
This is a lovely, lovely hotel. Enjoyed just walking around and admiring all the plants and sights.

Too big!

Posted Jun 25, 2014
The hotel is too large & we would get lost daily. Be prepared to walk a lot They had a convention going on, so the lines and crowds were riduclous fororning coffee & snacks. The shittles are overpriced & should be FREE for the price you pay at the hotel. The restaurants were way overpriced. Next time I will look for a smaller place to stay with more of a Nashville feel.

Very beautiful hotel.

Pros: The convenience and beauty of opry land hotel
Cons: nothing
Location: Loved the opry mills mall. Could have shopped all day!
I loved the how open the hotel was, making you feel as if you were outside without the hot heat. The variety of eating places and bars was great as well as the mall next door. I would definitely go back
