old hotel...

The hotel looked to have been built in the mid-60's. Although valiant efforts were made to modernize my room, it still looked worse for wear. The bathroom improvements in my room, for example, resulted in plumbing pipes being routed outside the wall, and over to the sink (with a generous supply of spray foam insulation protruding from holes in the drywall). Fresh paint over the ceiling failed to conceal damaged drywall from previous water damage. Curtains over the window were torn and dirty, and looked to be original, judging from the floral pattern. The bed was exceedingly uncomfortable and should have been updated with the room. The included breakfast was terrible; actually inedible (and I'm not a picky eater). The hotel staff I found to be helpful and friendly, at least. I'm normally a fan of Holiday Inn Express, but this, particular, one does not make the cut.

Disappointing

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar was good.
Cons: The front desk told me they had purchased the hotel from another hotel. I feel they should have done their remodeling before opening as a Holiday Inn.
Location: Downtain Nashville was an easy drive from there.
I was very disappointed with this Holiday Inn Express. It was a little on the shabby side. They are in the process of remodeling so maybe it will be better once that's complete but I doubt I would ever stay there again, especially for the prices they charged per night.

Hotel was being renovated big time. Rooms are outdated, breakfast was mediocre. Way too much money for what it was.

The hotel is under renovation. The lot was full of construction equipment and many areas were not finished. Many times throughout the night guests were loud in the hallways. We needed tooth paste, the staff informed us they were still out? The location was the only plus side to this hotel.

It was ok

The facility is under construction. It may be a nice place after they are done. This was not a typical Holiday Inn. Maybe they converting to one but it was ok.

Dirty during remodel

My bad timing. We arrived during remodel. No public lounge or common areas. Dirty, dusty hall ways, dusty work boot foot prints, in the carpet, nobody is really trying to be clean right now, maybe it will get better.

Nice rooms but no hot water!

Pros: The staff was nice and the room was comfortable.
Cons: Get some hot water!
Location: We went for a swap meet at the Fairgrounds. It was located very close to that. A few restaurants were close by.
The room was nice and seemed to be well maintained. The only real issue was the fact that we did not have hot water. I had a shower and it was just barely warm and then later my husband went to shower and had absolutely no hot water. This was a little disappointing for the price I paid.
