Hotel Preston, a Provenance Hotel

Just in for the "overnight" for flight home next morning. Hotel was relatively quiet. They have a number of "odd" extras (lava lamp) available, some free and some for a fee. We decided to try the "just like grandmas" hot cookies and cold milk. Was actually surprised at the 4 large chocolate chip cookies (big order for 2) and large milk for price ($5) ... and they were fresh baked - had to pick up 35 mins after ordering and still steaming! Overall, good place to stay for location (very close to Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Mall, great restaurants and only 'minutes" from the airport).

Clean hotel, great staff, was our first choice when we went back to Music City as we stayed there last time and once again they did not disappoint. We will without doubt stay at the Preston again!

I was expecting more uniqueness from it's advertising. It was just an ordinary hotel room. Sink was plugged up and backed up a couple times. One of the phones didn't work. The write-up had said that they had nightly live entertainment. We were there on a Monday and they didn't have entertainment. Nothing earth-shattering wrong but nothing stood out either.

It's not that I thought it was a poor experience, I just expected more. Though it's not that important I didn't like the decor I felt closed in with the dark walls and it made it feel dirty, even if it wasn't dirty.It wasn't really far away from the area we needed to get to, but I would have liked staying closer to where we were going. Not really anything you can get to too quickly, and it seemed to be a little in need of some new bedding. Just normal wear and tear, but I didn't really expect it. The staff was nice and I believe the room was clean.

We had a smoking room, and you could tell. You would think they would spray something so it smells fresh in the room, before the next guests arrive. The carpet needed a good shampooing. Service was good and the band in the bar area was fantastic, that was the best a big band with a lady that HAD the voice of no other, she was great. They need to book them there regularly! No smoking in the lounge, that's sort of a disappointment also.

Close to Airport and major Arteries. The staff was very helpful, and other than an alarm malfunction at 1:30am one day, the stay went off without a hitch.

All aspects of my stay was excellent. The two young ladies at check in was great and had a grand spirit and extra nice.( Cant remember there names but I filled out a reply card and give it to the supervisor)

My room was next to the elevator so I heard movement. The bathroom was not sound proof. I could hear the people in the next room when I was in the bathroom. It's a nice hotel but I like quietness when trying to rest.

It was a great hotel very clean and there is much to do In the area. Breakfest is not included...

Disappointed with hotel! Pool was not open, desk in the room was solo wobbly I'm not sure how it was still standing. Tissue box in the bathroom came off the wall when you pulled out a tissue. Curtain backing was peeling off, just not what I expected for that price point. Probably wouldn't stay again!!
