“I was hoping the room was more up to date.”
The bathrooms need to be better outfitted.
“Great stay”
Friendly, service oriented staff....third time staying there.....will definitely return.
“Nashville trip!”
Staff was very accomodating. Hotel is a little far from downtown...too far to walk and they provide a complimentary shuttle. Very attentive staff.
“Rude employees and manager, doesnt change sheets, uncomfortable bed”
I do not recommend this hotel to anyone! The employees are very rude as well as the manager. The sheets are only changed every 3rd day!!! I have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed and one day they didn't even clean the room (I was out all day so there was plenty of time). The hotel room service food is definitely not worth the price(steak was all fat, food was cold) and mini-bar items were expired! This is not what I was expecting at all from this hotel. I highly urge anyone who is thinking about staying here to find somewhere else! A very disappointing stay.
“Great experience”
For anyone visiting Vanderbilt University, this is the place to stay. It's right across the street. Its high points include ultra clean rooms, great bed, easy-to-access self-parking and a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on the premises. It even has a shoeshine business on the main level- best shine I've had in years. My only downside is the high cost of some of the amenities such as parking, wireless web service and minibar. This is not unusual for high end hotels, however.
“Outstanding Staff !!!!”
very comfortable and clean, nice staff.
“loews vanderbilt”
very nice hotel--- friendly, helpful, efficient staff good value would stay there again
“Great Location, Great Service, But...”
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is in a great location, directly across the street from Vanderbilt University. All the Lowes employees we encountered were warm and friendly. But... there was a half-full coffee mug on the floor next to our room door upon arrival and, despite immediately informing the front desk, it remained there for hours. In addition, there were pieces of paper scattered throughout the hallway on our floor which were never picked up. Our room was relatively small, overlooked the top deck of a concrete parking garage, and the bathroom needed an update. Overall, the facility, other than the lobby area, felt somewhat worn and weary. Considering Lowes outstanding reputation, and the usual cost ($$$) associated with staying there, we were unexpectedly disappointed.
“Annoying over priced "extras"”
All though the hotel was clean, well designed and well appointed I was very offended that they were charging $10 a day extra for internet. For the price I was paying for the room I found this very offensive. I come to accept that the mini bar is a wallet hazard but I find it especially annoying when you have to leave the hotel entirely to get a decent priced soda especially when the tap water has a bad taste. I don't know if this is the standard price as well but movies were $20 a pop. Even if I could fit my family into the one king bed in the room I selected I would rather go to movie theater or rent a movie at home for much cheaper. Service was fine. Mattress was very comfortable.
“Very, very nice.”
The room and amenities were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is in the middle of the "West End" area with easy location to restaurants and offices. The only gripe: charged for parking? Really? It seems hotel guests should get a break on the parking.
