Over night trip

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable as well. Shuttle service is key for getting to Broadway. Overall a very pleasant trip

Multiple problems, condescending staff.

Pros: Good shower water pressure, free parking, nice view of the city.
Cons: Train your staff to be friendly!!! Don't make your customers pay for every little extra. Put some money into improving the comfort of your rooms.
The mattress in our room sagged like a ton of bricks had been dropped on it, and it was a long and uncomfortable first night. When we asked for a new mattress or a new room for our second night, they gave us a new room, but the key didn't work. Three times I went back to the desk, three times it didn't work, so they gave us yet another room. We inadvertently left a piece of clothing in the first room, and the front desk staff were not very helpful -- or customer-service centered, for that matter -- in their attitude about retrieving it. No sense of urgency whatsoever, and the clerk clearly was annoyed to have to take care of the matter. When the housekeeping manager finally did bring it to our room, she handed it to us without saying a word, then left. I've never been treated by a hotel staff the way they treated us. In addition, the main door in both rooms was poorly sealed and let in a LOT of hallway noise. The comforter on our bed had a large coffee stain on it. The lamps and other electric devices were plugged into an extension cord with a three-way plug. The rooms need updating. The wi-fi cost $10.00 a day! No snacks or drinks were complimentary, despite the significant nightly rate. Just not a good experience at all.

Pros: The restaurant staff at Pralines.
Cons: More shuttles, no fees for fridge, microwave, cots.
Location: Too far from town but we did get to Opry Mills, Gaylord Opry Resort, we took a trolley car Hop On Hop Off which was a great quick view of the city
You have to pay $10 per day for each item you request, i.e., small fridge, small microwave..never heard of this before. You have a shuttle for downtown (2.5 miles) that is suppose to run on the 1/2 hr but they only have two and one is for the airport so it is never timely and if more than 6 people want to go you wait for next one. it is easier to take the cab for 12.50. If you go anywhere else but downtown the cabs run $25-40.00. They do have bus transportation but you have to buy tix in a kiosk and then try to find your bus. The one bright light is the dining room Pralines, there is a breakfast buffet for 10.00 and a full menu. The staff in the dining room are excellent and friendly. We were there for the The Final Four Women's Basketball week and there were so many people in town that this could have been part of the reason trans was a problem.

Hotel overall was nice. Staff was nice and hotel was clean. Beds were really comfy. Just some things to know though, this is not in walking distance to the main strip Broadway. Hotel does have a shuttle but only runs certain hours. We took a cab and was about $9 one way. Also they charged for morning coffee which I haven't seen since 1976.

Pros: size of rooms.
I was shocked that this hotel was not walking distance to the downtown core but that you needed to take a shuttle. They tried to charge us $9.50 for the internet even though when you go to book it, it says included (was told that it was free only in the lobby). The hotel did credit me when I insisted. Rooms are large but the hotel is tired. Would not stay here again if I visit Nashville again.

Nice staff, comfy bed but nasty bathroom :(

We only spoke to 2 staff members but they were nice and professional. The bathroom was not clean. The shower had hair in it, the shower tile had dirty smudges on it, and the toilet seat had brown smudges on it which came off with a damp cloth. The baseboards had dirt build up all over them. The shower curtain was stained as if it had been used as a floor drape while painting. I used a towel as a tub mat so my feet wouldn't touch the tub. We arrived so late and had to leave so early, we did not have the energy to ask for another room. The bed looked clean and was comfortable. Will not stay here again due to the bathroom.

Great Value - Clean and comfortable

Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and the view from the room was overlooking downtown and quite beautiful.
Cons: The bathroom needed updating. The tub had some patches and the tiles needed some repairs. The vanity was outside the washroom and much more modern.
Location: We took the free shuttle to downtown and back. This was definitely a bonus.
Outside of the city but free shuttle service was great. Very comfortable bed. Rooms and facilities were nicely decorated and clean. The bathroom was a quite outdated and could use a remodel but it was still clean and suited its purpose. The bedroom looked updated and modern so it felt like I was going back in time when I stepped into the washroom. It was nice having the vanity and sink outside of the dated washroom. All in all, great value. I would definitely stay there again.

Sometimes "first impressions" are deceiving...

When you walk in the lobby it is very inviting and nice giving a false impression of what is to come. Our room was no where near as inviting or nice as the lobby. The beds were lumpy and the mattresses caved towards the center. The bathroom door was busted and the wood splitting/peeling off at the botton. The lock on the bathroom door would stick making it difficult to get the door back open. The TV was on the fritz and the channels would not come in clear. The maintenance staff who came to our room was very nice and helped out with the tv but once he left it went out again. Had to wiggle the cords to get the channels to come in for a limited amount of time before they went out again. The staff was very pleasant in every instance we had with them. They are not at fault for the poor conditions of the room; however, I wonder how long it has been since the owners of this hotel have actually looked at all the guest rooms. Might be a good idea for them to do so! NO, I would not stay at this hotel again. Much too expensive for the quality of the room!
