Good location for a reasonable price

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Location and ammenities
Cons: It is a bit dated- new carpet and arm chairs in the rooms would perk it up.
Location: About 15 minutes walking from Broadway and all attractions, Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame etc
Hotel is clean but dated. Provided an excellent free continental breakfast. Within 10-15 minutes walking distance of Broadway and attractions. It is by the freeway but that didn't bother me with trying to sleep. Great price if you are looking to spend money on your vacation and not hotel! Would stay again

Nice hotel with convenient access to downtown

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Convenience to downtown without the price of a downtown hotel.
Had a 4 night stay with no problems. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. There’s a shuttle to downtown every hour on the half hour which made it easy to go back and forth.

Close to stadium.

Pros: Nothing
I was assigned a room next to an exit door. My interior door safely bolt had been busted and therefore did not work at all. The room had an old musty odor to it. There was a loud rattle that kept me awake most of the night. Also I had to pay to park my car in their lot. My expedia price was about $50.00 more than a much nicer Hampton near Vanderbilt where I stayed the previous night.

Comfort but noisy at night

The room condition is not bad. However, extremely noisy at night if you are not lucky to take a room right next to highway.

Who charges for parking?

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was very nice and polite.
Cons: The quality of the rooms. Only the shears covered the windows, so the lights from the swimming pool area shone in our room all night.
Location: We got in late, went to bed and left early the next morning, so we can't comment on location.
We were very disappointed in the quality of the rooms. We couldn't believe that we were charged $8 to park in the hotel parking lot for the night. Where else would we park if we are staying at the Ramada?

"Famous" guitar shaped pool

Close to LP Field and about a mile from downtown. Fine location. Good way to save a buck but don't have high expectations.

Far from perfect

Posted Mar 27, 2014
We arrived at the hotel around 1pm and figured we might as well see if we could check in early. We were refused quite impolitely by the concierge. We returned around 330 to find the power out at the hotel. A different concierge basically told us to go find something to do or stand in the lobby. Luckily the power came back on within 10 minutes so we went up to the desk and rudely were told the other people sitting were also waiting to check in and we should wait our turn. We stood there for a while before hearing the clerk say to someone on the phone that he was having computer trouble (never mentioning this to us customers waiting.) Finally, he checked the other guests in and we heard him comp them all their first night of parking fees. He did not give this comp to us, but by this time we didn't feel like arguing. We never received an apology or anything for the inconvience. The room was OK at best. There were stains on the comforter, curtains, ceiling and I found a beer bottle behind the chair. The bed was comfortable and I did sleep well. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. The clerk the next morning was polite and called us a taxi. Overall, I would definitely not return to this hotel.
