Shocked that a National Chain Claims This Place

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Only stayed bc no other vacancies available anywhere! These pictures were taken right after I put my things down. I was the only person staying. Had no other option because of a competition in the city!!! Absolutely disgusting. Can't believe Red Roof Inn puts their name on this!! The lady at the front was extremely nice- confronting her would not produce a clean healthy room at 10:30 at night.

Hi Gail. Thank you for your honest and constructive feedback and your kind words for our front desk staff. I am saddened to hear that you were so unhappy with our accommodations and I regret to hear that you were assigned to a room that did not meet the high standards of quality and cleanliness that Red Roof Inn is known for. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention and for taking the time share your experience.

Red Roof Inn

Posted Apr 14, 2014
I doubt we would have stayed her but for hotel crowding in Nashville this weekend. The hotel is older, rather run down, next to a rail yard that makes a racket all night, and my wife felt sick after staying there. It is well located to the Vanderbilt/Belmont area, but not a quality place. Staff was friendly.

noisy, but cheap

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: It was cheap, and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The horrible sounds rob you of your sleep.
Location: Though they didn't have breakfast, there is a waffle house and a cracker barrel in walking distance on the same road.
There was a lot of noise - ethereal circular screeching - from the train switching station right next door. I would say that you should wait to stay here until after they finish sound proofing and remodeling. Until then, turn on the air conditioner fan and hope the white noise will wash out the sound so you can sleep.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and I understand how frustrating it can be to seek a decent night's sleep with such noise in the background. On that note, as you have mentioned, sound proofing is in the works and your next stay should be much more peaceful. We look forward to seeing you again!

Rooms need major updating

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Bed sheets had hair on them, no working smoke detector, curtains and comforter had holes in them and shower rod was ready to break and the walls looked dirty. Overall we felt very uncomfortable staying there.

Dirtiest hotel ever

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Railroad and Expressway
The walls were yellow, caulk and holes in bathroom, smelled like smoke, carpet stains, garbage left in room from previous guest, next to railroad and door weatherstripping missing and felt very unsafe. Would never go back!!!

SLEEP IN YOUR CLOTHES

Posted Jan 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed in this hotel for a very quick night, thankfully. We had 2 rooms, and they were both terrible. So it made me think it probably wasn't isolated! I added clothing before I went to bed- it looked like someone's head had rested on my pillow, the floor was vacuumed in the main area, leaving the edges filthy. The faucet did not have a plunger, so it would not drain, unless you manually pulled the plug, and my associate's room had mold on the ceiling. We took pictures- it was so bad! The bullet proof glass when we checked in after midnight should have been our first clue. It was across from an abandoned building.

We had 2 rooms and thankfully only stayed for about 6 hours. Carpets were not vacuumed, sink had no plunger for the drain, which was stuck down. In the second room there was mold growing on the ceiling. If it wasn't after midnight, and we hadn't just driven for 18 hours, we wouldn't have stayed. The bullet proof glass to check in, in off hours was our first clue.

Good basic room for an overnight on the road.

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good place for a somewhat inexpensive overnight. The room was comfortable enough, and had a refrigerator and microwave. No breakfast was provided, but that suited us as we were meeting friends for breakfast at Pancake Pantry. The neighborhood isn't much, but access to the interstate highway is very easy.
