“Superb hotel”

Superb. Luxurious. Cookies on the bedside table, in the lobby. Everywhere. Would move in if I could.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. Besides the hotel being architecturally amazing, what truly sets this hotel is apart is the staff. The staff is truly eager to help and make your stay spectacular. Great staff great location in one of the top cities in America. What more could you ask for?

“First-Rate Hotel at a very Good Location.”

Of the many choices of accommodations we had in Nashville, we chose The Hermitage Hotel for its convenient location and historic character. Truly, this hotel is one of the very finest hotels we have ever stayed in anywhere (e.g. New York, Rome, Paris, San Francisco, Maui). From the moment one enters the hotel to the last moment there, everything about the hotel is first rate. The hotel lobby, common areas and the room we had are spotless, beautifully decorated, well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel staff is first-rate, gracious and accommodating. When I woke up at 4:30 a.m. one morning and went to the lobby to read, I was met at the elevator by one of the staff who was folding newspapers to deliver to the rooms. As the elevator doors opened to the lobby, he looked at me and said, "Sir, I will have your coffee ready for you in ten minutes." This is just one example of how one is taken care of at this hotel. In addition, there is no attitude--everyone is genuine and genuinely happy to make you comfortable. We made a very good choice and had a great experience at this hotel. Nashville is a terrific city to visit and this hotel is a gem in Nashville.

“Amazing hotel!!”

The service was excellent. The doorman, wearing a top hat and coattails, was helpful with our bags and information about the city. The friendly staff gave us suggestions for places to go and directions. They even loaned us umbrellas during a rainy afternoon. The hotel was conveniently located a mere blocks from everything. Cookies were served to our room during turndown service. The rooms were clean and spacious with every possible amenity including a variety of extra pillows. The large bathroom with seperate shower and huge tub with a flatscreen tv was a plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look foward to staying there again.

“Lovely experience”

While snow on Christmas Day can make anything look lovely, our stay at the Hermitage was a delightful experience. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas, the staff helpful and pleasant, and the room comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, exceptionally clean and filled with high-quality (travel-sized) products. Some "historic" hotels are simply old; the Hermitage offers the traveler a lovingly restored peek into Nashville's past.
