    “Stay in Paradise”

Nice, clean hotel. A bit of a walk to the rest of the attractions and restaurants at Atlantis, but it helped worked off the calories! As this is one of the older hotels of Atlantis, the walls were a bit thin. This did not detract much from the enjoyment of staying here.

“Atlantis is fun, but not always relaxing”

If you want a vacation filled with things to do, the Atlantis is a great place. But if you are looking for a Caribbean vacation where you can kick back and relax, the Atlantis is not the place to go. Great place for kids though b/c they love the pools, slides and aquariums.

    “Awesome Stay in Paradise”

The Beach Tower is the least expensive of all the Atlantis hotels, but it is very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach. Since we went during low season, we were upgraded to a room with an ocean view free of charge. The Atlantis property has a Disney-like feel to it. There's plenty of fun for everyone of all ages, but bring plenty of cash for food, souvenirs, and other activities. Food at the resort was expensive, although the dinner buffet at the Marketplace was superb. For lunch, the poolside carts had sandwiches, wraps, chips, drinks, and cookies for a reasonable price. We did the Shallow Water Dolphin Experience, where we got to meet and touch a dolphin. The event didn't last even close to the 90 minutes as advertised, but it was still fun. They make a hefty profit on the photos they'll try to sell you afterwards. To save money on food, stop by a grocery store on your way in to stock up on drinks and snacks. Go to the Fish Fry area for an authentic and delicious Bahamian dinner. For lunch, visit the various shacks across the bridge. They're not much to look at, but they're good and cheap. Conch is a local staple, so try the conch salad, conch fritters, and cracked conch. We heard a lot about The Poop Deck, but we found it to be overpriced and overrated. On certain evenings, stop by the Coral Towers lounge where you'll find a native singer/comedian named Wendell. He's got a wonderful voice and personality that will keep you laughing.

    Area recommendations
Go to the Fish Fry area for cheap, authentic Bahamian cuisine. There are also several shacks on the other side of the bridge that serve wonderful conch dishes (e.g., conch salad, conch fritters, cracked conch). Go at lunchtime since this area is sketchy at night. For souvenirs, visit downtown Nassau for the best prices and selection of items. Most of the stores close between 5:00-6:00, so head back to the Atlantis once it gets dark. The Straw Market was cramped and crowded, so don't go if you're claustrophobic. Also, beware of the so-called "deals" offered in the Straw Market. Go into the souvenir shops first to get an idea of how much something costs before negotiating in the Straw Market.

    “Atlantis is over-rated”

The staff at Atlantis was disarmingly uncooperative and unfriendly. Not at all what I expected, especially considering the price. I'll never go back.

    “Atlantis for an affordable price”

I never thought I'd be able to afford Atlantis, but with a cheap fall special, my friend and I booked a 6 night stay. The Beach Tower is actually very surprisingly nice for the price, and it's got it's own cool sea turtle and fish exhibits right behind it. Super close to the beach, super close to a nice pool and lazy river (which were closed while we were there for maintenance, boooo). A short walk to the casino, Marina, and restaurants, and the water slides of course. You still get access to all the awesome Atlantis amenities, but pay half of what the other towers cost, I was very pleased. Atlantis itself was awesome, since we were on a budget, we ate at the Atlas Bar and Grill, Bimini Grill, SeaGrapes, and splurged one night on the Marketplace Buffet. Food is overpriced for sure, but that's to be expected. If you ask for a drink strong, you will get it strong! Otherwise sometimes they can be a little too fruity. Quick tip, the Powerboat Adventure tour, was AMAZING! I can't believe I snorkeled with sharks, fed stingrays, and iguanas, and hung out on a beautiful private island with open bar all day! Call the place direct and you get a better deal than if you go through the resort. Best thing we did.

Paradise Island! It was so much fun to explore all the aquarium exhibits, ride water slides, try diff bars pools etc. and the beach was great. If you really just want to sit on your butt and drink by the ocean, you can do somewhere else, but at Atlantis you just get so much more.

    “Sheets were dirty!!”

The Hotel and location was decent, however when we arrived we had to wait 4 hours to check in. The first night we called housekeeping because one on the bed sheets were not clean! It was actually dirty from someones period, if you ladies know what i mean! REALLY GROSS!! I wouldn't however pay more money to stay at the other Atlantis hotels, as the beach tower is not as far from everything as it appears on the maps!! The hotels also have free shuttles, so you can get around easily if you want. The stay over all was good, but definately check your hotel bill at the end as they tried to charge us for a in-room movie that we did not order or watch. They also tried to charge us for the mini bar which we did not use either, as we do not drink alcohol. They did remove the charges with no problems , so that goes in their favor. Just keep an eye on these things and your stay there will be just fine!! For the money it was an overall good choice.

    Area recommendations
the Dolphine Cay was an amazing experience! We highly recommend this attraction! Its worth every penny! The Cove Beach was really nice too with beautiful warm water and plenty of space. If you decide to go into the "Fish Fry" in town we recommend Big Tens resturaunt. Very tasty food!! At the resort, the best deal we found on food was at the Marina Pizzeria! Decent Pizza and pasta's.
    When to go
If you are on a budget (like we were) we were told that September and October are the slowest months for the resort. We got a really great deal for traveling in the second week of October. The weather was very very nice and it was not crowded at all!!!

    “Atlantis Coral Towers”

First off we were supposed to be at the beach tower where they didn't have any more king beds so they upgraded us to the Coral Towers. The room was great and all of the staff was extremely friendly. I have read a lot of bad reviews and have come to believe some people are impossible to please. The cost was better than i expected after hearing some bad reviews. The first you should do is to get a taxi at the airport and have the driver stop at a grocery and liquor store. It will cost around $60 but it’s well worth it. You can carry a cooler anywhere you want so not paying for snacks, water & Alcohol saves a lot of cash. Take a cab to the POOP DECK in Nassau to eat at least one time because the food is very good and a bit less expensive. The cab both ways is $21 without tip. The only bad thing about the cabs are most of them aren't cabs there just beat up cars, SUV's, and vans so just pass on them until a newer one with air conditioning comes by. We spent time at the pool and the beach and had a great time. The locals on the beach aren't as bad as some of the reviews say. The casino is small but nice and the sports book is great if you like to gamble. All and all we would return again. I hope this review helps.

    “I would definately go back!”

The hotel and hotel staff was great for the most part, the only thing we had to say negative is that it was very expensive on the resort. We stayed in the Beach Tower, which it did have a musty smell in the hallways, but for anyone like us, we don't spend much time in the hotel room on our vacation, so it really didn't bother us at all. I would definately recommend the trip for anyone for the price and the amount of fun we had!!! We didn't want to come home!
