“Clean, Quiet, Friendly”

A Great place to stay on Paradise Island as long as you can live with a 10 minute walk to the Beach and Casino. Very Quiet and Relaxing Atmosphere. Room was spacious and well kept. 3 pools and very few people at them. Staff was Friendly. I spent alot of time at the Casino at the Atlantis but was very happy to be staying at the Best Western.

“Perfect Anniversary Retreat”

I chose this hotel based on others' reviews and found it to be the perfect spot for celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel staff was always ready to help in any way needed. It was convenient to shopping, the beach, and the ferry terminal, although there are taxis that are always willing to take you anywhere. We walked to Atlantis to explore, and were very glad to return to our quiet, peaceful suite. The three pools were never crowded with people, and it was relaxing to lie in the sun or the shade by the pool to chat with others that were also enjoying their choice of accommodations. If you want an escape from the hustle and bustle in a spacious suite, this is a perfect choice. Our only complaint was that the poolside bar closed at 4 PM daily. However, it was possible to buy adult beverages at the shopping area and keep them in your refrigerator for later. The small restaurant by the pool served up great breakfasts and lunches and also closed at 4:00. We found good dinners at Johnny Rockets, Hard Rock Cafe, Anthony's, Columbus Tavern, Twin Brother's Fish Fry, and aboard the Majestic Lady Dinner Cruise. Many were pricey, but the service was super everywhere! On an island where 80% of the GNP is tourism, they know how to please! We definitely plan to retun.

Area recommendations
Our favorite tour that we did was the day trip to Sandy Toes on Rose Island. It was a private beach with only the 50 or so people that were on the cruise enjoying all of the water sports available. The Dolphin Encounter was also another favorite activity. Be sure to check out Atlantis to see how crowded and noisy it is there. We walked to Johnny Rockets, Hard Rock, Anthony's and Columbus Tavern as well as to Cabbage Beach and the ferry terminal.

“Sorry, this was awful”

The units are rundown. Beams are rotting the bathroom setup was a little strange. There were ants in the kitchen. OMG The kitchenware was horrible. Inferior pink crockery, awful flatware (cutlery) it was lacking in cooking ware. I had called prior to going to get an idea of proximity to the beach and was given the impression it was 5 mins away. Not quite. The walk to the beach was lovely though. The staff were absolutely lovely and seem to be working with so little. The breakfast was deplorable and I was in shock with the state of the kitchen and the kitchenware. I would never return there. Sorry to give such an awful review but this is my truth.

In and immediately around the Atlantis resort would be my choice next time.

“Good quality but still on the expensive side”

I went with my family for a week. + side: The hotel is more like a set of condos. The landscaping was beautiful, the rooms were spacious enough, and great to have two tvs to keep the little one entertained in one room. Loved the back patio with a private green space. Great to have a full kitchen to save some money on meals. Easy to walk to beautiful cabbage beach and Paradise Island resort. Easy to cab over to downtown. - side: Not super fancy decor but ok for what we needed. The bathroom and kitchen faucet could have used some updating. Had asked for a ground floor suite given my young son but they had booked us on the 2nd floor. We got it sorted out but I would have liked the hotel to be have checked with us directly before we arrived about the booking. I even emailed them before we arrived but never got a response back.

“If we could live there we would! Best time ever.”

Everyone was so kind and happy. The rooms were kept clean and they even washes the dirty dishes for us while we were out having fun. Everything was just wonderful. I know I have never been to a better place to have stayed. Alfred, the manager was the greatest, anything you needed he arranged for you. Unbelievable man. He is at 100% at his job. Everything was kept so clean, you couldn't find so much as a cigarette butt. Pools were kept clean and all the suroundings. We had to walk to get to the beach and a store but it wasn't that much of a walk. They even had a welcome bag of some food to start you off with, you paid for what you wanted and gave back what you didn't. You do need to drink bottled water in the Bahamas. They drive on the left side of the road and are very funny. No matter where we went or what we did everyone is just so friendly and happy all the time. It was like a dream come true. The stay was quiet, not any noise at all. I would recommend for anyone to go there.

Area recommendations
All. So much to do. My daughter planned everything out. Loved the whole place.
Events and shows
Snorkling was a great adventure. Being with the Dolphins, holding and them giving us a kiss was great. Seeing all the Flamingo's and the show was also fun. Shopping takes much time, as expected so plan at leat a half a day on that alone. I would just recommend trying as much as you can during your stay, that is what makes it so memorable.

“Best Value Self Catering Hotel Near Best Beach”

A fab choice for the right price. My husband and I are seasoned travellers around the world on all types of budgets. This was a weeklong vacation where we didn't want to go over $2G total for flights/accoms.. we just wanted to totally relax, be healthy and not spend too much money. This hotel was perfect if you want to do that. This is not the place if you're looking to party hard with other travellers. It's a chilled vibe here. We had our own one bedroom apartment, the staff were great, choice of 3 clean and private swimming pools, our own balcony with table and chairs overlooking great tropical gardens, plenty of bright flowers and lots of birds around. The absolute best beach on the whole island is a 5 min walk away - Cabbage Beach. We easily bought a week's worth of groceries (including liquor) totalling $300 from the supermarket which was a $10 taxi ride away or a 15 min walk. The Bahamas either has ridiculously expensive restaurants or really crap fast food restaurants, so we are so glad we cooked our own healthy meals and made our own cocktails at home to save money. Everyone we met staying nearby at fancy joints like Atlantis was complaining about the expense, the crowds, the crap food and way too many kids. It seemed Atlantis is great if you have kids.. not fun if you don't have kids!! We experienced none of these issues next door for a third of the price!

Area recommendations
Paradise Island is the best place to stay on the island as it has the best beach by far. We rented a motorbike and checked out all the others.. Cabbage Beach is the best.
Getting around
Taxis are quite cheap but nobody turns the meter on. Ask your hotel concierge how much a taxi should be to your destination and tell the driver when you get in, you'll pay whatever that is.. there are set prices for set distances but the taxi drivers will try to push the price up. If they know you know the right price, they won't argue. They're all pretty chilled.
What to pack
You do not need high heels. Don't bother. The only time you need a jacket is in air conditioned hotels.
Outdoors or beach
Best Beach is Cabbage Beach

“This is a very nice place at a resonable rate.”

I went to the Bahamas for scuba diving and sight seeing. This hotel is located on Paradise Island, a short walk from the Atlantic Resort, some nice restaurants and a small shopping mall. Walking to the ferry to Downtown Nassau takes about 10 minutes. Beach-'buffs' might not like the location for beach access is about 15 minutes to walk but the hotel has 3 nice pools. Bahama Divers provide pickup service and cabs can be organized by front desk within minutes. This is a very nice resort with generously large suites. The staff is extremly friendly and helpful. The only downside: Transportation to (and from) the Airport through busy Nassau can be annoying - but the hotel can hardly be blamed for chaotic traffic...

“Loved the Laid Back Atmosphere”

Loved the quaintness of this hotel and the setting. Will return to this hotel again. Everything was so peaceful and the people were so friendly and helpful. This did not feel like a hotel. Loved the birds and all the beautiful landscaping.

Traveler's tip
To eat, shop or sightsee, you had to walk, but we enjoy doing that and the distance wasn't that far. We felt very safe at all times of the day or night.
