British Colonial Hilton - Nassau

Read alot of reviews complaining about small beach and noise. The beach was small but has way more than enough chairs and space for everyone. The noise was not bad at all. The hotel was very nice and the staff was veryy friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the water in the tub was soo brown you could not use it. Have to use the shower. The food was expensive at the resort but typically every resort will be expensive. Deff would stay here again

Rooms are a bit on the small side, but for the price we paid it was reasonable. Hotel charges 17/night per person for energy and maid fees, so be prepared to pay extra when you arrive.

GREAT LOCATION. YOU CAN JUST GO OUT OF THE HOTEL TURN A CORNOR AND YOU ARE IN THE DOWNTOWN SHOPPING AREA. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. I HAD TO CALL THE FRONT DESK AND THEY CAME UP ?DID SOMETHING TO THE CONTROL PANEL AND IT WORKED. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. WE ALSO HAD LOW WATER PRESSURE IN THE SHOWER ON THE FIRST DAY AND HAD TO TALK TO THE FRONT DESK. ITS SAD THAT THEY ALSO CHARGED FOR PARKING A DAILY $10 BUT I GUESS ALL HOTELS ARE STARTING TO DO THIS. WE ALSO MAKE OUR ARRANGMENTS FOR THIS TRIP ON A WEB SITE AND THERE WAS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $17 PER PERSON FOR HOUSEKEEPING CHARGES. SO IF YOU BOOK BE SURE AND CALL YOUR HOTEL AND INQUIRE ABOUT ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES LIKE THESE

Great experience! Quiet, private hotel in the midst of everything Bahamas! The hotel provides a great place to spend quality intimate time together. Watch out for taxis at the airport!!! the rate to downtown (this hotel) should only be $27. Some of the drivers will try to tell you that its $50 or $60 because they drive a Towncar, Once there you can ride the bus anywhere in the city for $1.25 each way.

The reason why I rated the hotel as a 3 out of 5 is mainly due to the brand. Because the Hotel is branded as a Hilton chain you would expect an attention to detail, which the hotel does lack. Upon arrival we were given a corner room with Harbor view, which we have read was larger and with a nicer view then normal rooms, which is true. What was wrong with the room? Well first of all one of the Ocean view windows was foggy the others were clear. The window was not dirty on the inside and even though it rained for 4 days in a row, it continued to remain the same. I asked at reception if anyone could have a look, but I doubt anyone actually came up... I dont think they could have done anything other than change the window. Secondly the window frame was duck taped... Thirdly, when it started raining there was water coming in through one of the other windows. There were also several leakage points from the roof, in the lobby area. This is why there should be more attention to detail to this hotel, especially since it is a Hilton. Also, water pressure is I would say mediocre.. If you want a stronger jet, you will not get it here:) On the other hand, the staff was always welcoming and helpful. The concierge always provided helpful information. The reception offered to help change the room, but the view was not as good.

The upgrade was appreciated and added to the good review. We felt safe at all times, enjoying the historic and shopping areas. We took several trips, includiing taxi and water taxi. Location was convenient. We loved the people in the town...residents and employees. It didn't matter. Everyone was warm and welcoming! I would go again.

Hotel is good for business trip not for vacation. Terrible view, very naarow beach - only like hotel. Water in ocen not clean because of car parking on one side and port on the other. Good for business trip, because condition in hotel are nice, but for vacation yue have look for better place.
