Convenient to Atlantis - included admission.

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Staff & accommodations.
Cons: Air conditioner needs to be quieter.
Location: Atlantis water slides, beach & casino across the street.
Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful. Nice accommodations. Only wish the air conditioner was quieter, did not get much sleep.

September in Paradise

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: It's a newer hotel, very clean
Cons: It would be great if the pass for Atlantis was for your whole stay instead of going to the desk at Atlantis each day.
Location: Comfort Suites was an easy walk to the Atlantis and to the water taxis to go to Nassau. The beaches were magnificent.
Stayed at the Comfort Suites mid September. The room was clean as was the entire facility. It's proximity and access to the Atlantis is great. Breakfast included in the price was fine with plenty of choices. The staff was pleasant and helpful including getting us restaurant reservations. Would definitely stay there again

Affordable with access to Atlantis!!!

Posted Sep 17, 2014
First time to visit this island. Beautiful beaches, Atlantis experience is awesome.... Nice hotel but the taxes is surprisingly charged per day. Ask the front desk for extra charges like housekeeping, electricity surcharges. Share the room like 3 to 4 people for a cheaper price.

Definitely a 2 star experience

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The pool bar was the only good thing abut this place. Chrystal was especially friendly. Expensive like everything else but nice.
Cons: Everything could be improved. Start with the breakfast and the A/C units and move on from there.
Location: Very close to Atlantis. We walked over the bridge to Lucciano's of Chicago. A 20 minute walk. Picked up the shuttle to Rose Island right out front.
I read all the reviews and thought I was prepared for our trip but being naturally optimistic didn't pay off for us this trip. First, it would have been nice to know that the place in under renovation. We couldn't check-in in the lobby, had to wait for someone to get a key to bring us into a side entrance. In the meantime, we were standing outside in the heat with our bags. They brought our bags to our room but we had to haul them back down the stairs to check out. Second, I agree with many of the reviews. The breakfast should be free because it's horrible. Don't eat it. Go to Dunkin' Donuts around the corner. The A/C unit in our room sounded like a train was going thru 24/7. It never turned off. It was REALLY LOUD, no kidding. The toilet didn't flush properly and there was always this nasty grey water in it. Gross. Enough said about that. The TV remote didn't work but we weren't there to watch TV. It's very close to Atlantis and yes, there is walking involved so be comfortable and enjoy the exercise. There's a lot to do and you will walk a lot. You have to get wristbands every day to be admitted to Atlantis beaches, etc and you have to go to Atlantis to get the wristbands. Lastly, don't trust the hotel staff to get a taxi for you and assume that they will get you a fair rate. They stood there watching the driver give us an outrageous quote and said nothing. $15 to go to the other side of the bridge to Lucciano's. Definitely won't go back there. Look for other options.

Good for the price and free access to Atlantis.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Overall, for the price, the great room location, and free access to Atlantis, this hotel was worth what I paid.
I still can't figure out why anyone would pay to actually stay at Atlantis when this hotel is literally 20 feet from the Atlantis and you get free access to the Atlantis? Albeit, there were a few things that I wish I did not have to put up with (but not sure staying at the Atlantis would have resolved them). 1. Waiting in line to check in. Not sure if it was because it was the Saturday before Labor Day or the fact that the shuttle got us to the hotel right at 3p? But I had to wait in line for 45 minutes to check in to my room. Note, there were 3 people at the front desk checking people in (more than I have ever seen at a smaller hotel). However, I guess people who arrived at the hotel earlier than 3pm were repeatedly cutting the line to get their room assignments and the staff were allowing this. 2. This hotel has a lot of traffic. The lobby was always busy, there were always people walking no the first floor to and from Atlantis. Note - the first floor room numbers are actually in the 200s. The ground level has the 100 numbered room numbers. I took the advice of the other travelers and asked for a room on the second floor (300 numbered rooms) and it was quiet. Also, if you think you're going to get a quiet, enjoyable breakfast right before it ends at 10:00am, guess again. Because this hotel is busy, everyone is getting breakfast right before 10:00am.

Better than expected.

I stayed at the Comfort Suites in August 2014. I look forward to returning. Free breakfast, free passes to Atlantis, American cable television, clean room, and value priced restaurants near by. Can not beat this place.

Staff wonderful - Breakfast awful

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of 'hellos' and 'good mornings'. They answered all my questions in a professional manner.
Cons: Needs upgrading - the pool area was run down. The breakfast buffet was awful.
Location: Had access to Atlantis which was a great perk. There is also a wonderful statute garden near the hotel that was amazing.
The breakfast was my biggest complaint - was pretty awful - resorted to having a bagel every morning. The cooked food was very greasy, runny, awful to smell and look at. The indoor breakfast area always smelled bad no matter what time of day it was.

Lots of things included

Posted Aug 28, 2014
This is a great place to stay at paradise island, the breakfast is included and food is SO expensive so this is a huge bonus, it's just across the street from Atlantis, and everything that is there is included, there is free wifi, which many of the other places charge over $20 a day for, and the people working there were all great. We only had an issue with dinner one night and an incredibly long wait and the staff's unwillingness to discount the meal. Aside from that, it was great, and the swim- up bar was a treat!
