Great stay in AtlantisPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the larger room/kitchenette. Nice pool. Shuttles were fast enough.
Cons: Some kind of walkway across the marina to the royal towers would be perfect. With the large boats pulling in and out I can see it would be a challenge
Location: Enjoyed the waterpark and walking around the resort. So much marine life to see right on resort. Beach, pool, casino
We stayed in one bdrm with kitchenette. We packed food like pasta, cereal, crackers, snacks, condiments. We ordered from groceries2go.com a few days ahead of time. They were excellent. Delivered to our room and put groceries away! Food is very expensive in Bahamas. It worked out for us to eat most meals in and to have snacks around for the kids. We loved the water slides and the boys especially liked the rapid river! My 7 year old wasn't tall enough for the slides (have to be 48") so he was thrilled to ride The rapids. Plenty to do. We chose to go in Oct so it would be less crowded. I can see that on breaks it could be very crowded!

Honeymoon at HarborsidePosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: The staff of the Harborside is very accommodating. Shuttles are available frequently (at no cost) to take you to other towers in Atlantis.
Cons: They need to do some maintenance on the shower. Also, we'd occasionally see housekeeping closets left ajar or bags of trash in common areas.
Location: Get a taxi ($11-12 for two people) to take you to the Straw Market for bartering on souvenirs and to the local Fish Fry for inexpensive seafood!
My husband and I spent ten nights at Harborside Atlantis for our honeymoon. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa with a full kitchen and king-sized bed. Our unit was about 550 square feet and was spacious and accommodating enough to feel like a home away from home. We were happy to see that it came equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils/dishes, a stackable washer and dryer, a mini dishwasher, a flat screen tv (in the living room and bedroom!), daily housekeeping, an in-room safe and air-conditioning. Although the spacious bathroom came with a jetted soaking tub, it didn't plug properly and could therefore not be filled to soak in. In addition, the shower had the weakest water pressure we've ever experienced. However, this could be improved easily to make the accommodations superb. Definitely take advantage of the grocery shuttle to stock up on staples like water, coffee, stuff for sandwiches and a few dinners. The cost of food at Atlantis is so exorbitant that it makes enjoying activities nearly impossible unless you're made of money or just robbed a bank. Plan for a nice meal (at least $150 for two people) and try to schedule some activities outside of Atlantis (boat tours, dolphin excursions, parasailing) to cut costs while still having fun. Lastly, wear TONS of sunblock and reapply often. :)

HarborsidePosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, nice view
Cons: road noise from room 4728, location of the elevator
Location: water activity
Over all the hotel was great. Service was great as well but the road noise from our room was higher than normal (#4728, Harborside) especially between 5 to 7 a.m. The elevator of this building is on the far end from the road which I found unusual.

Perfect for a family stay.Posted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Friendly Staff and Beautiful Location
Cons: Food Cost
My family loved our villa. We had a perfect spot on the water view side. The shuttle takes you to the other Atlantis locations and comes by every few minutes. They have their own pool and resteraunt but we also went to the beach each day. I was super impressed with the conditions of all restrooms and shops. The food was expensive but we ate at the buffet or resteraunts once a day and kept some small snacks and coffee in our villa. We just loved it and hope to go back.

Decent PlacePosted Jul 29, 2013
Pros: walking distance to marina/marketplace, great shuttle service, well maintained premise
Cons: Staff is polite but you need to ask for everything !
Location: All Atlantis facilities are accessible easily - Aquaventure, Marina Village, Beach, Pools etc.
Stayed for a week at a Harborside Premium Villa - think of it as a furnished apartment; very convenient for family with kids.

The HarborsidePosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: I liked the convenience of the kitchen and having the washer and dryer in our room. The rooms were kept very clean.
Cons: The bathroom definitely needed to be redone. Mildew in bathroom and smelled of mildew. The couch and cot need replacing. Springs were visible & hurt.
Location: We loved seeing the beautiful yachts. We enjoyed visiting the casino, aquarium, beach, pools, water slides, shops, etc.
The pool was just a few steps away. The children were disappointed that the pool closed at 7 pm. The shuttle service was good also. We enjoyed our stay. It was our first time and we would come back.

Pleasantly surprised!Posted Jul 6, 2013
I had some doubts when booking a room at the Harborside Resort at Atlantis. I only did it since my entire extended family was staying there for the trip. I was worried that it would be too far from the beach and other main attractions, but I had no reason to worry and I actually appreciated the bit of distance from the main Atlantis resort. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Harborside. There is a fast and efficient shuttle system that takes you around all the Atlantis hotels for easy access to the beach and other activities. Plus, I prefer the apartments compared to the regular hotel rooms. You can enjoy the amenities of a home, including a kitchen, washer/dryer, and extra rooms, especially if you're spending time as a family. I recommend!

Nice resort; great for familiesPosted Jul 5, 2013
Pros: Location, facilities, activities for kids and teens, weather
Cons: Lower cost of some of the basic groceries like water, milk, bread. Gym small for size of the resort. Offer affordable plan for wireless internet.
Location: The waterpark, the village, movie theater, hang out places for kids and teens, town (Nassau). Try snorkling or scuba trip with Stuart Diving.
Overall this is a great resort, with lots of activities for teens, safe and excellent facilities. The only drawbacks are the cost of transportation to and from the main island and the cost of groceries inside the resort. Some restaurants inside the resort were very expensive with few options for lite meals. For transportation (taxi) to and from the main island, expect a flat rate per person; for large families or groups, this can add up quick.
