You would never know Nassah was so close. My wife had a consulting assignment in downtown Nassah and therefore stayed at the Hilton. It was noisy and it felt very uncomfortable downtown. It was different at Compass Point, it was quiet and relaxing, you felt off-the-grid, but meals were fantastic, cooked to order and live music three times a week and a private beach. We didn't want to leave and will go back.

"Beautiful hotel and grounds and staff so friendly"
This resort is huge, we stayed at the Reef which is away from the hustle and bustle of the Royal towers. It was great. Wonderful friendly staff. We had an amazing time and will be going back in January.

We had a great time. The rooms, restaurants and amentities were fantastic. The property of the resort is big though so be prepared to get some walking in. We would highly recommend staying here....lots of fun!
Harborside is a great way to visit Atlantis. All the units are small apartments, not just a hotel room. So the parents have a bedroom separate from the kids. Our kids slept on a fold out couch, or some units have 2 bedrooms I believe. You have full access to the Atlantis water parks, beaches and activities. It is much better than a standard hotel room, you get a kitchen and washer and dryer.
Atlantis is so spread out that no matter where you stay, you will be walking. Harbor side is a little out of the way, but really worth it! There are free shuttles that take you to the other towers if you want them. We chose to walk most of the time.
There are No shuttles to the Airport though. Not from any Atlantis hotel. That sucked.
Atlantis really gets you on every nickel and dime. Harbor side has to go by the Atlantis rules, but they are helpful in finding you alternatives as well. It is a time share, and they did politely invite us to their schpeel, but when we declined, they didn't push it even a little bit. They were very nice about it.
I do recommend the harbor side if you're planning to visit Atlantis.

This was our second trip to this hotel. Last year I went with my wife and this year we returned with the kids. It was great both times. The staff is very helpful and able to answer questions about almost anything. The room we stayed in both times is like a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. The bed is comfortable and they clean the rooms very well every day. The location is amazing. It is on a more secluded part of the island and the water is clear, clean, and usually calm. One of the things we liked about this location is that most of the time, except weekends and holidays, there are very few people around including on the beach. It is like having your own little piece of paradise. You do not have to put up with the cruise ship crowds or the busy resorts. Just pure relaxation. The snorkeling near the resort is alright but is better if you make the short trip to the jetty. Also, I would suggest renting a car for the week in case you want to venture around the island. A trip to Nassau for 2 will cost $80 round trip and a rental car is only about $350 for the week. There is also a lot to see around the island and many places it is great to stop and take in the moment or take some pictures. I will caution that if you want a party crowd or love the resort and fine dining this may not be the place for you. If relaxing and enjoying some swimming, snorkeling, sitting on the beach feeling calm and not being bothered you will love this place as we did. We plan on a return trip
