A solid 4 star resort with a great beach. A great value and perfect place for a low key getaway in the Caribbean.

Nice Hotel

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: More staff at reception to help check in and out
Location: Absolutely nothing nearby. Have to travel by bus or taxi to the town centre which is appx 10miles.
I found that the hidden charges of$200.00 US was un acceptable. When I turned up at the front desk to book in, I was told that these charges apply for the use of the pool etc. I found this un acceptable as this should have been mentioned before.

Disappointing lack of entertainment, bad food

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Hotel was clean and the beach was nice.
Cons: Entertainment (it was completely missing). Food.
Location: Every afternoon we took a cab to Paradise Island where there is a lot to see and many great places to have dinn
The hotel was clean and the beach was really nice. But there was absolutely no entertainment, which was very disappointing. And there was nothing within walking distance around the hotel that we could go to in order to find the entertainment we were missing. Even more disappointing was the poor quality of the food served at the restaurants in this resort. Even the food served at the Starbucks in this resort was below average. Every afternoon we took a cab to Paradise Island where luckily we could find the entertainment and good restaurants we were missing at this resort.

Booked king bed weeks ago - our friends also - front desk said we could wait 45 mins to get a king bed and then when we got to the room there were actually only 2 doubles. But otherwise the room was suffice. Front desk often seemed a little brusque. Nice pool/beach area. Housekeeping, valet, doormen and other staff very nice. No wifi in the hotel room! Common areas pleasing to the eye - I know they have had a refurb but not sure if its quite done - some areas look unfinished.

Nice hotel on beautiful beach

Posted Jan 19, 2015
It's situated on a beautiful beach however I've Been spoiled at going to Riu chain hotels and more recently Live Aqua in Cancun. The disappointment for me was the lack of premium alcohol even when paying for an all-inclusive package. The WiFi was only available in the lobby and the hard wire Internet access in the room didnt work quite that well. The low occupancy of the hotel meant my husband and I couldn't explore the specialty restaurants. Instead we relied on the Tapas bar which was the best feature. Oh and the worst of it is if you're hungry for a snack after dinner ends at 10pm you have to pay something insane like $11 for nachos even when you've paid for an all-inclusive package. The facilities look old also and it shows. The establishment could use some sprucing up. Overall Nassau is a beautiful place to visit and everyone was very pleasant on the island both at the hotel and in the local areas.
