quaint but tiredPosted Dec 9, 2013
Pros: Privacy & location
Location: For those with kids or who are young at heart, the Atlantis water park is a leisurely 20 min stroll away on the beach.
The second time we've been here, the last a few years ago, most recently in early Dec-2013. Everything happens here in an Island sort of way, meaning eventually you figure it out. The check-in is personal but weirdly takes place in the lobby lounge area instead of the reception where you fork over a credit card and told that, as your room won't be ready until 3 and that you can change in the toilet or bag room - not sure why they didn't suggest a change room in the spa, which is quite nice. Service on the beach was mediocre with constantly mixed, missed or incomplete orders; the hotel food good but expensive. Our room was clean but the door lock broken requiring a heavy slam of the door, the toilet didn't stop flushing without jiggling the handle and the screen door to the patio needed replacing 5 years ago, not the coat of paint it ended up with. Having said that, the beach and ocean are picture postcard beautiful, the climate wonderful and the spa and gym both very good. Our butler and room make-up were also spot on. The view from Dunes restaurant is fantastic, just don't leave your table, as the ever present seagulls will finish your meal. It'll be interesting to see how the One & Only fares when the Baha Mar is finished. That resort - impossible to miss on the 45 min drive from the airport - will be closer (to the airport) and newer.

Calm before the storm. Twins expected...Posted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: Quiet, epic service, perfect view, amazing experience.
Cons: Bathroom in room was a great size and well equipped but could use an update in the next few years.
Outstanding experience, treated like a star. 1st class all the way.

Birthday CelebrationPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the pristine grounds, the attention to details and the beauty of Paradise Island!
Cons: Possibly a coffee maker in the room?
Location: We headed over to the Atlantis for a few dinners but couldn't wait to get back to the One and Only!
We decided to take a family vacation to celebrate my husband's 65th Birthday! One and Only was everything and more we could have hoped for! Looking forward to returning!

Service was terriblePosted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: Nature. The most beatiful tropical garden around and inside the hotel. The pools are good for a family traveling with children. Kid's Only club
Cons: The staff. Looks like somebody wise constructed the hotel and rhen handed it over to wrong management team
Location: The location is perfect. No point to travel to Atlantis - waste of time. But it is cool to go to Downtown and visit some l9ocal restaurants and/or mus
Service was terrible - we had to remind many times about our requests. The worst service was at Dune their flagship restaurant - you may expect to wait up to 40 minutes for your starter to arrive, You may also find Reception not friendly at all.

Pros: The hotel staff was very friendly.
Cons: Food at the onsite restaurants and the prices should be reviewed.
Location: Atlantis and the Fish Fry downtown
Spent 4 nights at this hotel and overall I was disappointed given the cost of the hotel. The food was ok but I don't think the quality was woth the price. Two meals were undercooked from different restaurants. The hotel room itself was comfortable however it was a little worn and could use a refresh - ie the bathroom tiles are cracked.

Not worth the high pricePosted Oct 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel grounds are beautiful, staff is extremely friendly, food is great. For the price I expected more out of the room. Size of room was extremely small and in major need of renovation. Just a tub/shower in the tiney bathroom. For $1,000 per night it was a disappointment. I expected the Ocean Club to be on par or better, due to the higher price, than the One & Only Palmila in Cabo which I enjoyed so much. The Cove Atlantis is a much nicer room at half the price. Stay at the cove, you'll find yourself spending a lot of your time at the Atlantis anyways.

Great hotel location and grounds.Posted Sep 3, 2013
Cons: Staff efficency
Location: Atlantis, biking, fitness center, shops nearby
Grounds, location are beautiful. Food at the Dune in particular is excellent. Staff is pleasant but with a few exceptions not thorough. Free access to Atlantis is nice when you want a change from the peace and quiet. Overall would highly recommend this hotel

Nice quiet getawayPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: Butler service
Cons: Service at the hotel bar.
Location: Atlantis hotel
The hotel is beautiful, and the hotel staff is wonderful. We especially appreciated the services of the butler, Laurence, who was very attentive and caring. We did not enjoy the service or the experience at the hotel bar. The waitress was rude and very unapologetic and making us wait. Not the kind of service you expect to get at a five-star hotel. But, the hotel staff more than made up for the waitress' rudeness. The hotel is not a super hip and happening place; it is very quiet and serene, so if you are looking for peace and relaxation, then this is the place for you. It is a nice benefit that you have access to all of the activities at Atlantis. All in all, a great place to stay, and we will definitely return.
