“Great Vacation!!”

I loved staying at the Riu Paradise Island. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even came up at 2 am to fix my toilet. The food was great and the drinks were strong! I would recommend staying there to anyone and we will def be back.

Hotel room, service, view from the balcony were all lovely. Food was good. Beach was beautiful. Perfect quick, easy getaway! Our only complaint was the bus ride from the airport to the hotel - a crazy driver - but our ride back to airport was fine. Everything was as advertised.

“Riu at Paradise Island”

My boyfriend and I had never stayed at an all inclusive resort and didn't know what to expect. We LOVED it. The staff is super friendly and will do anything to make sure you have a good time. The sushi specialty restaurant is AMAZING, definitely check it out. My only complaint is, I wish I could have stayed longer. We are currently looking into other Riu locations for our next vacation.

“Recommended”

Everything was fantastic! On the plus side, people are attentive and courteous, rooms are clean and well equipped, food is delicious and abundant and the few recreational amenities are readily available, but if you want more you can go to the Atlantis which is right next door or you can go for a night in the town which is relatively safe. Just remember to book dinner reservations to any of their restaurant before 10am. On the minus side, I just want to point out that the pool is a lot smaller than the picture in their website but there is room for everybody. Also the TV reception and picture quality in my room, despite being a late model was defective. Management addressed this issued promptly but without success. We were offered to move to another room but that would have compromised the beautiful beach view we had, which was infinite times better than TV. Also in the pool area, the DJ kept playing the same Bob Marley tape (yes a cassette!) over and over again in a crappy sound system. After 3 hours of the same music I was fed up (and I am a Marley fan!) ,and I offer them a couple of my caribbean CDs to mix things up, but they did not have a CD player or an Ipod connection. Good thing they had an open bar! Overall the experience was excellent. Good for couples, not families. Go there and enjoy yourself!

“Great Getaway!!”

The Riu is the perfect getaway. The food was delicious in the buffet and the 3 restaurants. My advice for breakfast is to have them make you a fresh omelet at the cooking station...best ever!! Plenty of food and drink - staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Lines for making reservations for one of the 3 restaurants started at 10am - moved very quickly - wasn't a problem at all. My only complaint was that the bed was a little hard. They are supposed to be updating the rooms in the summer of 2009 - so I will definately return next year.

“The best deal in town, will definitely go back!!!”

Excellent service, food was great, best deal for the money. All-inclusive is the way to go, and this is the best all-inclusive deal ever!! The rooms are beautifully furnished, clean and well-stocked.

“Great vacation destination!!”

My wife and I stayed at Riu for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the location was outstanding! The hotel has a great spa and agents that can book any excursion that you wish to take while in the Bahamas. I would recommend taking a taxi to and from most locations in the area due to the low fares ($28 to Riu from airport) and the fun drivers that can fill you in with local info. I would also recommend going to downtown Nassau to experience the local culture and the Straw Market, which my wife absolutely loved. The Atlantis is right next door, so be sure to check out their casino and underwater aquarium. If we ever get the chance to visit the Bahamas in the future the Riu is the place we plan on staying!

The Riu was once again everything we hoped for! The staff was courteous, the rooms comfortable and the food great! Can't wait to go back!

Other than a uninformative check-in (details of the hotel procedures were left out) it was agreat place to stay. We would definitely go back and are planning to stay at another one of the RIU properties soon. We would recomend this hotel for highly for adults.

We went for our Honeymoon in August and were extremely pleased with the Riu Paradise. It was our first all inclusive experience and it was a great one! The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were endless food and drinks (they made the best Strawberry Daquiries we had ever had!) almost 24 hours a day. The three specialty restaurants were excellent (my husband especially liked the steakhouse!). The buffets offered anything you could think of and more. Unfortunately, we did experience habitual problems with the sink & toilet leaking but the staff was more than accomadating with cleaning it up. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to go back!!!
