Vastly overprized: it is like a Super 8 Motel

No restaurant on site: beach restaurant under constructions for years apparently. They recommend you to go to the shopping mall for dinner

Business say.

Nice and quiet. Good stay for the price. The room AC works great and it is clean. Not much else to ask for. You will need to have rental car or take the bus.

Power outages, gets hot!!

Posted May 2, 2015
3 out of 4 days the power was out, which means air conditioning was off, and it was so hot we couldn't sleep. The staff is cool, but there is no bar. Chef Cleveland will cook dinners sometime and have a bar out, but it's not guaranteed. This place is not your typical party spot, mostly an older crowd. BYOB

Classy

Posted Apr 22, 2015
First--Upon arrival the clerk tried to "upgrade" us to an inferior room at no charge. After inspecting the lesser room we insisted on staying in the room we booked months ago (and already paid for). Again, he offered to "upgrade" us to a "better inferior" room, also at no charge. After insisting a second time on our booked room he grumpily acquiesced and tried to make us feel guilty for doing so. Second--upon arriving at the room, the porter asked us to mind the puddle of water in front of the door, lest we slip on the polished tile floor inside. This puddle issues from the noisy condensing unit directly next to the front door. It turns out all the units in this motel have noisy condensing units next to all the front doors, without the slightest attempt at concealment, each with their own puddle of water for stepping over. Classy. Third--dined at one of the resort restaurants--the so-called "Twisted Lemon". Unfortunately, the blaring hip-hop music couldn't quite drown out the constant rumble of the industrial grade drink mixer at the bar (40 feet from our table) which at first we mistook for a jack hammer. Add to this a swarming wait staff constantly trying to take away our half full glasses and plates in an attempt to move us on out for the next victim, and you have the makings of a most delicate and refined dining experience. Last--nice elderly lady told us this was her 18th year here, as she didn't read the fine print on her "lease" which locked her in for 30 years.

Sandy port beaches and resort

It was great! Quiet and relaxing. The hotel staff was good. They had the incorrect checkout date for me. But they apologized but never changed it in their system and my keys were not working. Overall, the stay was great.

Sandy port bahamas vacation

Overall, this hotel was Comfortable for the price and fairly clean. The hotel was roughly 20 minutes with a rental car from downtown. I would not stay in downtown since traffic is horrible everyday around 4 or 5 pm. The staff here is good however there is no room service and the lobby closes at 11pm. There are 24 hour securities which make you feel comfortable. The rooms are a little run down in the bathroom area but overall clean and comfortable. There is a really nice ocean aRea and hangout place by the pool. The pool is not amazing but they have one. The Bar by the pool is also not great but no where on the island did I see a fully loaded bar.

Nice and quiet

Nice clean rooms with short walk to beach. Nice beach with little pressure and one must be prepared to pack there own refreshments for the stay. Two nice restraurants a five minute walk with additional shopping either 8 or 15 minute walk.
