Built in 1980 by a cruise-ship company (and renovated in 2009), the Wyndham Nassau Resort features Art Deco design and cruise-ship touches like decorative "portholes" and brass handrails. Tubes resembling ships' smokestacks, run up and down and along buildings' corners and edges. Large, domed skylights cover many public areas.
The resort's 30,000-square-foot casino is open daily. The casino features Art Deco design, with chrome columns and a ceiling of gleaming black and copper strips. The casino offers coin-less slot machines, table games, and video poker blackjack machines.
The 3-building resort offers an on-site fitness room and includes many stores and boutiques, including chocolate, cigar, and liquor shops. There are 7 meeting/conference rooms (30,000 square feet of facilities). Towels, umbrellas and sun loungers are provided for the pool and the private beach. Guests can try snorkeling on site. Hollis Day Spa pampers guests with beach massages and body treatments (reservations are required).
