“Don't stay in the "Guest House" if you book the Eola Hotel”

I booked the Guest House at the Eola Hotel because no other lodging was available during the Balloon Festival. Room registration was a nightmare. I found difficutl parking and waited in line at the desk only to find that registration for the Guest House was not at the Eola Hotel desk. After having to ask directions to the Guest House (a block away), i drove over and found parking with difficulty. No one was at the desk, and no one came when i range their pager. Finally I ask a landscape worker for someone to check us in. We were check into a room across from the lounge (noisy) and AC did not work. Reported broken AC X2 and was not filxed . We were forced to sleep with window open (bottom floor room!). My rec...stay in a B&B if in Natchez!!!

Area recommendations
Stay at one of the higher rated bed & breakfast inns. The Bisland House is excellent!

“Definitely going back!!”

We loved our stay, and would recommend this hotel to friends. The service was great, we were very pleased.

Area recommendations
The downtown, and surrounding areas are great. There are several fun shops, and restaurants and the archetecture of the homes is beautiful.

“Great Location Nice Room”

Although not a 5 star hotel, the Eola was clean and well kept. The location for visiting the sights of Natchez was excellent. I would definitely stay there again. The value for the price of our room was more than expected.

This property is older, but well-appointed-all the conveniences you'd want. Great location and price (on Expedia!)

“Would stay here again”

Enjoyed our stay very much. Impressed with "historic" feel of hotel and loved location in middle of downtown, convenient for exploring shops and such.

“A GRAND OLD HOTEL”

THE EOLA IS NOT ONLY BEAUTIFUL BUT OFFERS FIRST CLASS SERVICE AND CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOMS. WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THE QUALITY AND VALUE. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN.

“Beautiful Hotel”

The hotel was beyond our expectations. Beautiful lobby. Desk clerk was polite and knowledgeable. We had a standard room with two double beds. Room was clean and quiet with a view of the river (nice surprise). Great location--we were able to walk to local shops and restaurants. We had breakfast the following morning in the hotel restaurant. It was delicious and reasonably priced.

“Natchez for Christmas”

We were very pleased with our stay at the Eola. From the front desk clerk to the bar tender and restaurant personnel, the staff was terrific. The Christmas decorations were so appropriate for an older hotel in the heart of the South. Its location in the heart of Natchez allowed us to walk to some very quaint shops and we snagged some very unique last minute gifts for friends and me!

Shopping
Skip the casino and head for the downtown shops. At least you will get something for your money. The local shops offered unique items, and you don't want to miss Darby's fudge!
